"Alec!" Aro yelled at me. I still didn't let my guard down.

"He was just being defensive," Marcus said supporting me. He knew we were mates.

I was glaring at Caius, watching his every move.

"Bella is Alec's mate," Marcus announced smiling.

"Mates?" Bella asked.

"Mates," Marcus confirmed.

"Alec, stand down. Aro wouldn't let Caius attack," Jane whispered so where only I could hear it.

I grabbed Bella's hand again. "I knew it was true."

"But, I thought that Edward and I were mates?' Bella wondered. She cringed when she said his name.

"Hmmm, but when Edward was here..." Marcus trailed off. "Aro, may I speak with Bella?"

"Sure," Aro shrugged. "I also want to speak with Alec about a few decisions he has to make."

As soon as Aro said my name I was panicked. Was Aro mad at me. Oh God I hope he isn't.

Marcus walked over to us. Bella looked over at Caius. You could tell she was petrified.

Bella let go of my hand and followed Marucs out of the throne room."Jane you are dismissed," Aro said

Jane left, which left Caius, Aro and Me.

"Well Alec," Aro started.

"Aro, I'm sorry," I rushed hoping that he wont strike me.

"Alec, you are not in trouble. You cannot choose who your mate is," Aro interrupted knowing where i was going with the sentence.

"You were quite..." Caius started to say, but Aro interrupted him.

"Caius, not now."

"But," Caius tried again.

"Enough!!" Aro yelled at Caius. "Alec, lets talk in my office so we can have no more interruptions."

"Yes," I agreed.

Aro led me to his office, which I have been there too many times when talking to Aro privately.

"Well this is very unexpected. I thought that Bella and Edward were mates, not you two. But I do see that you love Bella truly. If you didn't you wouldn't of growled at Caius like that. I am very shocked that you did that Alec," Aro paused.

"I know Aro, I'm sorry. You shouldv'e killed Edward," I said, but I muttered the last part.

"Alec, please do not comment on my decisions," Aro sighed.

"Sorry Aro," I apologized.

Aro nodded. "You have a mate now; you are also one of our strongest guards. Jane as well," Aro paused again. It looked like he was trying to find the exact words he wanted. "You have a choice here Alec. You and Bella could stay here and stay in the Volturi, or you can leave with your mate to live happily together for the rest of your lives."

I was shocked on what aro was saying. "W-what?"

Aro chucked. " Everyone has that same reaction when I ask them this question. Alec, do you and to stay in the Volturi, or leave us," Aro repeated himself.

"I don't know," I was still shocked at what Aro was asking me.

"There are pros and cons for both. There will be a wedding, which we will invite everyone, Edward will be there for his... punishment," Aro paused and chuckled. "If you leave, you will never be able to see Jane again; until she finds her mate."

I shuttered at the thoughts.

"I think that it would be best if I stayed," I said. I knew i would be torturing Edward.

"Just know that once you make up your mind you will never be able to change it again," Aro warned.

"Even if she chooses?" I asked.

Aro nodded.

"She woulsn't do that to me though," A argued with myself.

"I'm sure she wouldn't," Aro said with a sly smile on his face. "Now go find your mate, I'm sure she has a few things she wants to tell you."

I walked out of Aro's office. I needed to find Bella.

I passed Jane in the hall. "Do you know where Bella is?"

"In the Library," Jane said. She was listening to some music.

I approached the Library's doors, and I heard Bella and Marcus talking about Didyme. I do miss her , she was like a mother to me. I knocked at the Library doors and went in. There was a brilliant smile on her face.
