The One with the Tattoos

Start from the beginning

I'm planning on getting this tattoo right where I can always see it: my wrist. However, I'm not sure of left or right yet, because of the next tattoo I'll show you.

I'll be getting this one as soon as possible. My mom said she'd take me to get it for my 16th birthday if I was really sure of what I wanted, but that's in less than a month and tattoos are expensive so I may wait it out until Christmas or until I can pay for it myself. Either way, this will be my first professional tattoo.

This is the Roman numeral 2, or II

This is the Roman numeral 2, or II. I might do this or just a 2, I'm undecided. It would symbolize the second month, February, which is the month of my birthday and the month in which I came out to my parents. It's very plain, and that's why I like it. I may combine it with something like the Aquarius symbol later on, but initially, I'd like the simplicity. Maybe not as lengthy of an explanation as the moon, but just as meaningful.

I'd like to get this tattoo in a place where it's clear that the meaning is for me alone, which means it will probably either be a tiny finger tattoo or somewhere else subtle. Maybe on my rib? I'll have to figure it out, but I'll edit this entry as soon as I decide.

This one I'd get tomorrow if I could. It's so simple, but it holds so much meaning in my mind, and it's tiny enough to go unnoticed. Honestly, I might just ask/pay a friend of mine, Angel, to stick-and-poke it for me. He's done a few of his own tattoos and they came out really well, so I'd trust him with mine.

These are the four sets of a deck of cards

These are the four sets of a deck of cards. While my heart isn't set on this exact design, I'd love something in this simplistic style for myself and my three siblings, of course, symbolic of the inseparable bond we share.

I'll get this one as soon as we're all old enough for tattooing, and as soon as we all can agree on a design.

I may want this on my wrist, I may not, it depends on what it is. I feel weird about having a tattoo on my right wrist for some reason. It's completely irrational -- it just seems off. I really don't know why. So this tattoo and the moon will have to compete for my left wrist unless I decide to not be weird.

This, my friends, is a Phoenix

This, my friends, is a Phoenix. It is a mythical bird that is constantly reborn as it bursts into flame near the end of its life and rises again from the ashes. Of course, it would represent a metaphorical Phoenix (me). After every challenge, every time I feel like setting myself on fire, I will rise from the ashes and be even stronger than before.

I may also decide to get it in blue instead of red, to be a Patronus, which is a guardian against evil. The tattoo itself will be my Patronus -- as long as I have it, no harm can come to me because I know that whatever is going wrong will make me stronger than before. I am fearless. I am a Phoenix.

I'm getting this one right after top surgery. The moment I'm healed enough from it, I'll get the tattoo, so there will be that symbolism behind it as well. It'll be on my back , just like in the photo, because then it can be big and fierce and visible.

That's pretty much it, I believe. There will probably (definitely) be more in the future, so yay!
