Chapter 41: Business

The next morning, I woke up with a slight headache, my head was throbbing, my body was sore, I couldn't feel my legs anymore. I looked at James who was peacefully sleeping beside me. Not wearing any shirt. I looked at myself beneath the sheets and I saw myself wearing a oversized shirt. I was wearing before the Auction. I wanted to go but at the same time I didn't want to be rude but I have to go.

Before going, I fixed myself. I brushed my teeth, fixed my messy hair. Pagkatapos ay hinalikan ko ang noo niya. Not leaving any note, I just went out with my things. Nagdasal nalang ako na sana hindi pa gising si Ara. But that would be impossible! She slept the whole night! I inserted the keycard to my room and quietly opened the door. Nakita ko na may maayos na dalawang kama namin ni Ara at walang tao. Our luggages were properly arranged, our whole things actually. May isang sweater, jeans, undergarments ang nakahanda doon sa kama.

"Nadine?" Ara said.

"Ara! You're here!" I shockingly said.

"Of course, I'm here! Ikaw nga ang dapat kong tanungin kung saan ka galing!" She answered back.

"I was with James because we went to an auction. Ako ang ginawa niyang partner para may masabi sa mga ibang businessmen niyang kaibigan." I explained.

"You slept in his room?" She asked again.

"Yup. Uh, there was a pillow in between us." I lied.

More like we were cuddling each other like it was our first time!

"Ah talaga! Paano ka nakarating doon?" She asked again while she was still dressing up.

"Dahil pagod na pagod ako, umuwi kami na buhat niya ako. Hindi niya naalam na may spare keycard ako kaya doon niya ako dinala sa kwarto niya." I lied again to answer her unending questions.

Lies! Lie pa more! God, Nadine, para lang makalusot?

"Magkikita nanaman kayo ni James mamaya. How weird." She giggled.

"May meeting agad?" Gulat kong tanong.

"Sabi ni Enzo. Malapit na kasi eighteenth month nila eh. Ayaw niya raw na may meeting." She explained.

Oo nga pala! Enzo was getting help from me for his surprise. How could I forget! I can't believe it! Nagkanda gulo na 'iyong buhay ko!

"James requested a personal meeting with you though because you guys have so much things to discuss." She said. She even gestured quotation marks when she said that we have so much to discuss. But I believe we do have nothing to discuss! Daming alam ni James!

"Breakfast daw muna tayo." Saad ni Ara sa akin

"I have to take a shower. Una na kayo." I said.

Tumango naman siya at umalis. I took my time on bathing myself, but after, I tied my hair in to a bun and dipped myself on the tub. I laid myself there. It was definitely relaxing. I have no mood to do anything because I was really tired from last night but I timed myself. Maya-maya ay nagbihis na ako ng turtle neck at skirt. I paired it with a heels. I fixed my hair in a simple ponytail and I'm done. Today, I want to look professional today for the meeting and not to give James impression.

Ara:
Matatapos na kami mag breakfast. Saan ka na?

Me:
Malapit na ako! :)

When I got there, they ordered me my favorite breakfast platter and I immediately ate it. Buti nalang at hindi nagtatanong itong si Enzo at Kelly.

"So today, hiwalay 'iyong meetings. First will be Kelly's food testing. Second will be with Me, James, and the team. Pupuntahan namin iyong site." Enzo shared.
