I heard someone singing, I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed it. I saw someone staring at me.
"James!" I slightly screamed.
Natawa lang siya. Napaupo naman ako sa higaan ko dahil sa gulat na nandito siya at talagang pinapasok pa siya ni Mommy.
"What are you doing here?" I curiously ask, still rubbing my eyes.
"Goodmorning,baby! I'm here to date you today." He answered shrugging.
"What? Hindi mo naman ako sinabihan!" I said in an overreacting way.
"Well, it's a surprise so I didn't tell you." He said laughing and giving me a smack.
"Ano ba! I still have a bad breath from sleep!" I yelled.
"I really don't care." He said shrugging again. "Let's go down. Tita prepared us breakfast." Sabi niya pa.
I fixed my hair, washed my face, and still had to brush my teeth. Nakakahiya kanina noong hinalikan niya ako!
He held my hand while going down, I saw Kuya, Ate Ches, and Dad sitting down. Mom preparing the plates.
"Morning, guys!" Bati ni Mommy.
"Goodmorning, Ma." I said kissing her cheek. "Morning, Pa." I said and did the same. James greeted them as well and sat beside me. Si Dad naman ay busy pa rin sa kakabasa ng balita.
"Nako, Anak ah! Late ka na nagising! Alam mo ba na ang aga nakarating ni James dito?" Mom said teasing me.
"What? Anong oras?!"
"Mga quarter to eight. Tignan mo naman ang orasan! 9:30 na kaya!" Sambit ni Mommy.
"Okay lang po yun, Tita. Pinanood ko lang naman matulog si Nadine." James intervened.
Kumain na kami at nagkwentuhan. They were all focusing on James though. Lalo na alam nila na nagpaalam ako kay James na pumunta ng Paris for my scholarship.
"Ang understanding mo naman." Ate Chesca said when James answered her question about me leaving.
He shrugged. "Mahal ko eh." Sagot niya pa.
"Naku! Maghanda ka na, Nadine... Aalis pa kayo, hindi ba?" Sabi ni Mommy bigla.
"Ah, yes! He told me a while ago." I said and stood up.
"Nako, Anak. Bilisan mo dahil mas maraming time, mas maganda." Dad said wiggling his brows. "Hindi ba, James?" Tanong niya pa.
"Opo. Mas maganda nga po yun." Sagot naman niya.
I just shook my head and laughed. Umakyat na ako at sinundan naman ako ni James.
"Hep! Dito ka lang." Sabi ko nang umabot kami sa labas ng aking pintuan.
"I won't peek." He said and winked. "Hay nako, James! Hindi... Diyan ka lang muna. Mabilis lang ako." I said.
"Okay, baby. Ikaw ang masusunod." He said and stood up at the side.
