Skye

"What did you do to her?" A voice asked.

I instantly knew it was Adam.

But who was he talking to?

Who was he talking about?

"Did you know what they did to her?" Another voice asked.

It sounded gruff and hoarse.

"Don't try to twist the subject. What did you do to her?" Adam asked.

"I didn't do anything to her." The rough voice responded.

"Bull. Why did she pass out?"

"I found her journal. I read a few pages, then she saw me read it. Once I brought it up, she passed out."

The rough voice must've been Max, because no one else read my journal but him.

"What journal? What was in it?" Adam asked.

Adam can't find out.

No one else can.

I squeezed my eyes shut, debating what I should do.

"Adam." I said, barely above a whisper.

"Skye!" Adam rushed over to me. "What happened? Are you okay?" Adam bombarded me with questions.

"I'm fine." I gave a small smile. "Can you get me some water?"

Adam nodded, then left the room.

I turned my head to Max.

His eyes were red, and his face showed only sadness.

"Don't tell him. Please." I told him.

"I can't just sit here knowing what happened to you. Knowing what they did to you."

"Adam will be crushed, knowing that I didn't tell him." I responded.

I looked at my surroundings and noticed that I was in my room.

"You have to tell him." Max said.

Max lowered himself so that he was at my eye level.

"If you won't, then I will."

I closed my eyes.

"If you tell him, I will never speak to you again."

Max's face wavered.

"Skye, I got your water." Adam said, before entering the room.

Max stood back to where he was standing just before Adam got inside.

Adam handed me the glass of water, then sat down in the chair next to me.

He looked at Max, then back at me.

"So, Max was telling me about a journal. What do you write in there? Crushes? Deepest darkest secrets?" Adam said, trying to make me laugh.

I forced a laugh.

"No, I just write stuff that I have to remember to do. Like an agenda." I said, not lying completely.

"Also, Max was telling me about someone doing something to you. What was that about?"

All I saw was black.

Then, I was at Skymedia.

Adam and I just fought.

I was laying on the ground, and I looked up to see Bri.

We talked for a little bit.

Then, Bri charged at me, and I fell out of the window.

I gasped loudly.

"Skye!" Max rushed over to me, along with Adam.

"Skye, what happened?" Adam asked me.

"N-nothing. I just need to see-" I paused. "-a friend."

I stood up, feeling nauseous instantly.

Adam ran over to me.

"Skye, you're not leaving until I have answers."

I quickly turned around to him.

"So now you care?" I responded.

"Skye, what are you talking about?"

"The day I fell."

Realization crossed through Adam's eyes.

"Skye, you cheated on someone, that's big."

"I did no such thing! He cheated on me! He convinced all of my so called 'friends' that I cheated on him right before he was about to propose. That's why I moved. Not because I cheated, because he did."

I spun on my heel, then walked out of the house.

I was going to confront Bri.
