Filler chapter, also, it's very short.

Zoe

I looked at Skye in the hospital bed.

Bri and I weren't allowed in there until Skye woke up.

Which was terrible, because all I wanted was to make sure that she was okay.

I could've prevented it.

If I had just said that we should leave instead of staying late to work on the project.

"Zoe." A voice said in plainly from behind me.

It was Adam.

I wish people believed me.

"How's she doing?" I asked.

"She's good. Nothing is severely damaged."

"That's good. When will she get up?"

"It should be soon." Adam said.

I nodded.

"Listen, I want to believe you, I do. But I've known Bri for longer, and I just can't trust anyone right now, except for Red and Skye."

I nodded again. "I completely understand. If this happened to-to anyone, I don't know what I would do. But, I can't." I gave a small smile.

"Thanks." Adam said. "I'm going to ask Red what happened in his perspective."

"Okay." I looked back through the window, looking at Skye.

I could've prevented it.

"You okay?" I turned around to see Jordan.

"Yeah."

"You might want to sit down, it's really late, and you've been standing there for a while."

"No, I'm fine." I said, still looking at Skye in the hospital bed.

"I know it wasn't you." Jordan said.

I turned around. "You believe me?"

"Skye was the one to give you the job. Why would you get push her?"

I gasped, then smiled.

I ran over to Jordan, and hugged him.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"

He laughed. "No problem. Do you have anything else that can help your case?"

I thought about it.

"When Skye found me, I-I was being bullied. She stood up to them, and beat them up for me. Then, when she took me back to The Offices, I had a bloody nose."

"And I fixed it?"

"Yeah." I smiled, then yawned.

"Here, go to sleep, and I'll wake you when she wakes up."

I nodded, then rested my head on his shoulder.
