I woke up feeling sore around my arms up to my back but it was bearable. The way I fell last night had a greater impact than I thought, so I went to the bathroom to clean myself.

I stripped all of the bandages around my arms and body and replace them with new ones. 'ugh. I look horrible.' I groaned, looking at my bare body in front of the square mirror. There are wounds on my right arm and purple blotches down to my sides. I feel like tearing up just by thinking of how will I hide this to my mother. She would definitely freak out if she found out about what happened last night.

I hope that today is nowhere near like yesterday.

During breakfast, Yerin and Taehyung kept on talking about visiting the beach. Their eyes glowing as they plan on what they have prepared for us if we go today. These two are really the life of our group, if they weren't here, I bet everyone's eyes are glued to their mobile phones. I took a mental note to invite these two for my upcoming birthday, although I don't need to, I'm sure they'll be there anyway.

Now that everyone is busy preparing their things, I climbed to my bed and pretended I'm busy packing too. I didn't want to pop their idea of going to the beach even though I don't feel like it, so I kept my head low during breakfast and pretended I was listening when Taehyung was explaining what water activities we should try.

"Why are you not packing?" Mingyu's head popped out from below. "I can't go with you guys. I'm sorry." I said faintly so the others won't be able to hear it.

"Why are you not coming?" He asked, not realizing he said it loud enough for Yerin hear, who was busy packing her own things next to our bed. I reached for Mingyu's mouth to shut it but I was too late, Yerin was already on his side, eyeing us.

I want to smack Mingyu right then and there for being so loud, if only my arms doesn't feel sore. I hissed at him instead.

Just by looking at Yerin's expression, I already know where this is going. She didn't even asked what Mingyu and I were talking about, she just knew. She can read through my mask, perks of being friends with her, or not.

"Please?" Yerin pouted, matching her puppy eyes. "Please please please?" She's begging me like how a little girl begs to her mom after seeing a beautiful doll on the toy store. "I want to but I can't." I sighed, looking down.

"Can you at least look at me?" Yerin continued to sway me with her words. I avoided looking directly into her eyes while I answer, mainly because she knows that I'll give in easily if I did. "I'm sorry." I said with a heavy heart, not wanting to meet her eyes.

As much as I want to go with them, I can't. I'll be too embarrassed when other people see my body right now. A pale skin full of purple marks scattered around her body, not to mention my wounds isn't healed yet. If the salty water gets to my wounds, I'm more than sure it'll sting.

She looked down to her feet, defeated. Taehyung went to her, rubbing her back then said something I couldn't hear into which she nodded. I can only guess that he somehow said something magical that made Yerin lit up, based on how she instantly smiled.
