Chapter 13

I quickly went out of the car and run towards her. She's on her knees, hands covering her face.

"Hey.. I'm sorry, I know it's my fault. I shouldn't have fallen asleep." I rubbed her back and she started crying. "Come on, I know a perfect place to cheer you up." I cupped her face and wiped her tears away.

It's already 10pm and Eunha must be hungry by now, we haven't had dinner since we both fell asleep in the car. I bought us food from Burger King since it was the nearest fast food I saw on our way to Yeongyang Firefly Eco Park. It's 3 hours away from the hotel so it's best if we eat first.

"Here, I know you're hungry." I handed her the burgers and she gladly took it. She took a bite and I saw her smile after. I'm relieved to see her smile again.

"Thanks." She said and started gulping all of her food without even drinking anything. I watched her eat two burgers in a swift and now she's starting with the large fries. I'm amazed that she's not the type of girl who's picky with what they eat.

"What are you looking at?" She asked while her mouth is full. I didn't say anything, I finished my food and continued driving.

After a couple of minutes, Eunha connected her phone to play music while we drive.

"Let's turn it on so we won't get sleepy. Again." She chuckled.

She shuffled her playlist and the first song was IU's Good day. She was singing along with it. It's the first time I heard her sing, and she has an angelic voice. I keep glancing on her and clearly she was having fun. She was singing and dancing along to all the music that played until we arrived at Yeongyang.

The moment we came out of the car, I saw her eyes sparkles as she look up in the night sky. I knew she would love it here. The whole place was being preserved by not putting a lot of artificial lights in it, there's barely street lights in here. The whole park was darker than the usual park you see in Seoul. They preserved it this way to avoid light pollution that affects the fireflies at night, as well as the sky.

Eunha can't keep her eyes off of the stars and I can't keep my eyes off of her. The more I see her, the more I know about her, the more I fall for her. Jungkook was a really lucky guy to have Eunha but I don't understand why he let her go.

"You asked me earlier how I knew that sunflower was your favorite." I stated.

"Oh yeah. So how?" She lied down on the hood of the car.

"I used to see Jungkook buy sunflowers at the flower shop near our old house." I carefully said, hoping that I don't trigger her.

"Oh." That's all she said.

I'm contemplating with myself if I should ask about them. I don't even know if this is a good time to talk about it but I really want to know if she already moved on from Jungkook. I don't want to ruin the moment so instead of asking her questions, I extended my hand towards her. She was confused at first, then she placed her hands on top of mine.

The next thing we knew, we're both dancing under the moonlight. We look like crazy teenagers having the time of their lives, dancing with no music on. I figured this is good way to make it up to her since she was devastated about missing the ball.

I was captivated with every move she makes. She looks even more beautiful when she's being her normal self. Both of us can't stop laughing with what we're doing. When both of us are out of breath, I moved towards her until we're only inches apart.

I don't know what came over me, I placed my hands around her waist and started swaying her. She then placed her arms around my shoulders and started swaying with me, eyes closed. Her scent must have hypnotized me for I was already singing before I knew it.

"Fascinated by the moon as we walk along the river bank
Being carried by the waves towards the old town
The merry-making continues until this time
We slip away yet no one has seemed to notice

She rested her head in my chest and whispered. "Thank you."

We arrived at her house past four in the morning already. I carefully parked my dad's car and walked her in front of their gate.

"I had fun. Thank you for making this night memorable." She smiled then, her soft lips landed on my cheeks. I can feel my heart beat.

"You know, I can do so much more." I held her hands. She looked at me confused. "I really like you Eunha, not just as a friend. I've been teasing you the moment we met because it's the only way you'll ever talk to me. I know that Jungkook still have your heart but I don't care. I want to make you happy." I exhaled.

"I.." She averted her eyes from me.

"Don't worry. I'm not pushing you to say something. I just wanted you to know that I'll always be here for you. Goodnight." I rung their doorbell for her and Mr. Jung came out.

I walked towards my house and looked back at Eunha. She had her arms wrapped around her body, still wearing my coat as she enter the house. I smiled to myself now that I have finally confessed to her.

I might. I might upload later chapter 14 where EunKook will finally see each other again!!! I'm so excited!! How will Jungkook react to Eunha if he see her??? And if you've noticed, I changed the book cover. It has a connection of how Jungkook will feel when he see Eunha with Mingyu.
