SHAWN MENDES.
SHAWN MENDES.
SHAWN MENDES.
SHAWN MENDES.
THE SHAWN MENDES.
Lord, kill me. Kill me now.
I am imagining him, it has to be! But it...but it feels so real.
"Hey, you okay?" Shawn Mendes says as he extends his hand over to me. I stare at it like an idiot.
DO SOMETHING, EMMA.
He looks concerned.
SHAWN MENDES IS CONCERED ABOUT ME.
Gee, Emma, we get it: you're meeting Shawn Mendes. Move on!
BUT I REALLY CAN'T!
"Uh...Not really, I almost died," I reply, taking his hand.
HE IS REAL!
HIS HAND IS SO SOFT!
He laughs and helps me get up, "What's your name?"
"Emma, you?" I ask, AS IF I DIDN'T KNOW ALREADY.
"Shawn," He extends his hand to me, "nice to meet you."
"I've never expected to meet The Shawn Mendes like this," I blurted out loud, shaking his hand.
His hand is so soft.
He laughs. "I thought you didn't recognize me."
"Oh, I did. I was just dying on the inside, so I pretended I didn't."
He laughs again.
And then we just kind of stare into each other's eyes. As if we've done that a million times before.
"So, where were you heading?" he breaking the silence.
This quickly snaps me back into reality. "School! I'm gonna be late!" I quickly pick up my bag and turn around, but he places a hand on my shoulder and stops me.
"No, let me drive you. It would be a way to say sorry." He suggests.
I have to admit, I'm a bit taken aback, but I have no time to argue. I nod and follow him to the limo. I get in, and I am amazed.
I'VE NEVER BEEN IN A LIMO BEFORE.
This is exciting.
It was pretty big. Like, bigger than your average car (of course). There is a man dressed in black inside the limo that I assume is Shawn's bodyguard
"I'm sorry, miss," the chauffeur apologizes from a small window separating the back of the limo from the front.
"As long as I am alive and well, it's okay," I reassure him.
He smiles and closes the small window.
The limo starts moving.
"To which school?" Shawn asks me.
"George Washington High School," I answer.
Wow, look at me, casually making conversation with Shawn Mendes.
"No way!" He exclaims, "That's where I'm heading!"
Wait, what?
"What a coincidence!" I exclaim, "You're new, right?"
"Yeah."
And then it hits me: if Shawn goes to my school, he's gonna learn I'm a dork with barely any friends. Shoot. Here I thought I made a new friend, and now I'm going to lose that friend!
Way to go, Emma!
