Chapter 11: Emma Blackery and Nightmares

Discouraged and once again exhausted, I did what any logical human being would do.

I looked around for an empty room in which to sleep.

It may sound weird, but look at all the people who've done it; Katniss Everdeen, Dan Howell..... They turned out fine, right?

Anyways, I ended up finding a small linens closet. I curled up into the sheets and blankets (which, I assume, were for the agents that lived on the helicarrier) and shut my eyes.

I instinctively reached for where my jacket pocket would be so that I could take out my phone and earbuds. Sadly, I realized I had forgotten my coat, and that I had thrown my phone out of Tony's car earlier.

Knowing I needed a distraction from the thoughts of terror that would quickly fill my head, I began to quietly sing Emma Blackery's The Promise.

"Today, you don't want to get out of bed.
