Max stood next to his father as he said his vows. He smiled, looking around the church, seeing everyone happy and proud of them.
"You may now kiss the groom," said the priest, and Donald dove into Goofy's lips, enveloping him in the most passionate kiss Max had ever seen.
As this happened and the people cheered, Max happened to spot Minnie coming out of the bathroom, her face white, eyes wide, like she'd seen a ghost.
When the ceremony was over, he went over to her to see what was wrong.
"Hey, Mrs. Mouse," he said. "What's wrong?"
She shook her head. "Nothing. Just enjoying the wedding."
Max looked at her eyes, which was something he'd found was hard to do. He wanted to say something daring, like "Tell me the truth", or "Don't lie to me, Minnie", but he didn't dare. He walked away to go join Donald and Goofy at the bar, although he couldn't drink yet.
And the rest of the night was full of fun and celebration. Truly a good time for everyone there, and, thought Max, a good time for the ghost of Daisy Duck as well.
