With Mickey disappeared, Minnie sat on the couch with tea in her hand, waiting. She'd been waiting since nine that morning for Max, but he didn't show up. When the doorbell rang, she jumped up with excitement, but was disappointed to see that it wasn't Max, but Donald.
"Donald?" she said. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to ask you a few things," he said.
She rolled her heavily made-up eyes but let him in. He sat down at the dining table.
"What?" she snapped.
"I'm sorry, is this a bad time?"
"Well...kind of. I just need you out of here as soon as possible, so be quick."
Donald's eyes shifted around the room. "You're waiting for someone?"
"What do you want?"
He sighed. "I was visiting Daisy today, and...I was just wondering if you found a note?"
Minnie's heart jumped but she managed to keep a straight face. "No," she said. "Get out."
"Wait, you're sure? I - "
Minnie pushed him towards the door. "I'm sure, Donald, I was there. Now leave."
She slammed and locked the door on him, and went back to her position on the couch.
