“Can we go and see it too maman?” he asked with full of excitement in his eyes.

I shook my head. “I’m sorry sweetie but you promised lola you’re going out with them today.”

He made a sour face and pouted. “Pretty please maman?”

“No can do. You have to keep your promise Knave.”

When we finished our brunch, I helped Knave for his bath while Shiloh took hers in her room.

The penthouse suite right now is a mess.

Some things are valuable at nagkalat lang to sa buong suite.

I sat down with my legs crossed and went through the box. He’s a responsible kid, that boy.

I smiled as I saw what he put in the box. It was those mementos we had ever since we got him. Nandun yung ticket sa una nanood kami ng Disney on Ice. He loved that show kaya nga nung mayroon show nung nandito na kami Shiloh reserved us a seat.

I never wanted him to leave us pero sabi ni Andy kailangan namin siyang dalhin sa orphanage. So we did. But after a week, he was back home with us.

So back to the  drawing, yung drawing ay nasa labas kami nila Andy at Knave ng orphanage at nasa tapat namin yung kotse. At the bottom of the drawing was a note: My parents finally took me home. I love them so much.

I felt small hands wrapped around my neck. “Maman why are you crying?” he asked. “Don't cry maman.”

I turned around and smiled at him as tears keep falling. I let him hug me tightly. “I’m just happy sweetie. You never showed me this drawing.” I told him as I pulled away and showed him the drawing in my hand.

He smiled shyly. “I was afraid you won’t like it.”

“I like it. And I love you too sweetie.”

Shiloh came down afterwards and saw Knave and me hugging and having our moment and so she joined. Even when she was thirteen years old, she was still my baby girl.

I really am lucky that I have them both, I don’t know what would happen to me if I didn’t have them.

I walked them out of the hotel afterwards and let them enjoy their day with lola and lolo. I have work to do anyway, I need to pack up some things already because in a week or two we’re moving out of the penthouse.

I was cleaning up some boxes when the phone rang, I stood up and walked to the living room to answer the phone. “Hello?”

“Good afternoon Ms. Price, there’s a Mr. Montemayor down here, would you like me to send him up?” the receptionist asked.
