You knew you had to do it, you couldn't force yourself to be like this anymore. It hurt. Today was the day and you were going to go through with it. Allen was getting home from work, and he was about to sit down on your couch before you stop him.
"Allen, do you have a moment to talk? It's important."
He looks down at you, and smiles. "Sure babe, what's up?"
You take a deep breath in. Your heart was pounding, and you were scared.
"I don't think this is going to work out."
Allen's smile drops, he looks almost confused for a second.
"Why?"
"I- I don't love you anymore. We've been dating for a while now and-"
"Did you fall in love with somebody else? Who was it?" His voice was getting louder, it started to scare you.
"No- it was no one. I just stopped loving you. There was no one."
His face turns angry, he looks like he's about to either hit you, cry, or yell. All were scary options for Allen.
He raises his hand up, and then puts it back down.
"Whatever." He grabs his bag and leaves.
In that second, your heart shattered to a million pieces, the one person you once loved deeply now hates you.
Who knew dumping someone could be so heartbreaking.
