"I'm out!" I yelled clocking out for the day. I grabbed my bag and water bottle out of the locker and made my way out of the print shop.

When I walked outside, the Florida sun burned my cinnamon skin and I thanked God I was smart enough to fill my water bottle with ice from the breakroom. The bus stop was a smooth five minute walk away so I decided to put in my headphones and listen to some music. I opened spotify and chose a random playlist. It was my way of discovering new music.

As much as I wanted a car, I sometimes enjoyed the walks and bus rides I took. They gave me a chance to clear my head and not really think of anything but getting home. I could enjoy the scenery and people watch as much as I wanted.

Sometimes I even tried to guess their stories. Why they were the way they were... What made them choose their outfit that morning ...Where they lived... Where they were going.

I made it to the bus stop and began my wait. I checked the schedule on my phone seeing the next bus was set to arrive at 6:15pm. It was now 6:07pm so I was good on time.

I kept myself occupied by scrolling my twitter timeline. Although I wasnt that popular in real life, I had a good amount of internet friends and followers that read my thoughts and seemed to enjoy my posts.

I composed a quick tweet.

@RegineIman: Will never understand why people are so rude.

That tweet was really referring to Joey when he came into the store today. He was a whole asshole to me and I hadn't even done anything to him. I didnt know how Nicole expected us to become friends. He wasn't a very nice guy. At least to me he wasnt.

After a few interactions with people on my timeline, I realized it was almost 7pm and getting dark. The bus still hadn't come yet. I sighed and got up to look down the street to see if it was possibly on its way down. There was no sign of it.

Another hour went by and it was now 8:04pm. Still no sign of the bus. I pulled out my phone to call Denzel. Maybe he could give me a ride.

No answer.

I shook my leg nervously and in frustration. It was getting dark.

"Excuse me miss how long have you been waiting?" a guy that I hadnt even noticed was there asked me.

"Uummm about two hours" I told him and he nodded.

"You know you look very beautiful..." he said with a weird smile and I thanked him.  He didnt look crazy but I could never be too sure. He was a tall guy with a brush cut. He had on a regular everyday outfit and some crisp new sneakers.

I made sure to watch him out the corner of my eye and prayed that the bus got here soon. After a few more minutes some other guys came and dapped him up. I immediately got uncomfortable as they started staring at me and whispering. I shifted in my seat and gripped my bag tightly.

"Yo, where I know you from?" one of them asked. I pretended I didnt hear him until he came and sat next to me snapping his fingers in my face.

"Yoooo I know you heard me. Where I know you from? You look familiar" he said and I got a good look at his face. He was really handsome but I was sure I didnt know him from anywhere.
