Melanie's Pov

I march my way over to Deion and the random ass girl he was with.

"So this is what you call being out of town?!"

"Melanie what.... what are you doing here?" asks Deion

"What does it look like I was chillin with my crew. What the hell is going on here Deion?"

"Baby I can explain." whines Deion trying to bring me into his arms.

"Don't touch me you're a liar and a waste of my time. I can't believe I was dumb enough to think you were the one. You played me having me walking around here looking stupid."

"Look baby this isn't what it looks like." says Deion

"Just save it I don't need you. I can't do bad all by my damn self. We're through you can do whatever you want."

"Please you say that now but you'll be back. Eventually you're gonna start to miss me and want me back. I know you all too well Mel." says Deion with a smile on his face.

"Not this time I'm over it." I storm off because theres really nothing else to say.

I over to a booth where my friends are sitting.

"What was that all about?" asks Natalie

"Nothing just dealing with Deion's BS."

"I see you handled him," says Aaliyah

"I broke up with his trifling ass."

"Good because you deserve so much better than that." says Mia

"You're right and you know what else? I need some time to focus on me and what makes me happy. Being in a relationship can be so draining at times. I'm tired of being with someone who doesn't care about me and my feelings. I just don't get why guys feel the need to cheat. If your not happy with the relationship just end it. Why hurt the other person in the process. It just doesn't make any sense to me."

"I feel you girl," says Mia.

I notice all the guys at the table looking uncomfortable. I can recall every last one of them cheating on my girls.

"On a positive note at least we saw Chris today." says Jacob

"I think we should throw a Welcome Home party for Chris." says Craig

"That's a great idea him and Nikki have been through so much." says Jacob

"We should keep it a secret from Nikki. Imagine their face when they walk through the door." says Ray

"I'm down they deserve it."

"Then it's settled we should start planning the party ASAP." says Jacob

"Speaking of throwing parties and things like that, I think we all need a vacation. So much has happened we all need a break." says Craig

"What do you have in mind?" 🌚

"I was thinking about us going to New Orleans." Says Craig

"Yesss partyyyy. I need some excitement in my life." says Aaliyah

"We haven't had a group vacation in the longest. The last time we went on a vacation, we ended up moving their permanently."

"Yeah you're right. I love a road trip so I'm in!" says Mia

"I'm down I love traveling to new places and seeing new things." says Ray

"We have to go sight seeing. I have to see all of the beautiful things New Orleans has to offer." says Jacob

"I've always wanted to go their. I can't wait to have some jambalaya and some real Cajun cooking." 😍👌

"I hear you on that. Just hearing you talk about it is making my mouth water." says Natalie

"Now I'm getting all excited." says Aaliyah

"So we're really gonna go through with this?" asks Mia with a excited look on her face.

"Hell yeah," says Jacob.

"We have to go to Bourbon Street." 😁 says Craig

"Yesss that's where all the parties are. Turn up time." says Aaliyah

"Since everyone is cool with going, all we need is Chris and Nikki's in put. We can mention it to them at the Welcome Home party." says Craig

"Sounds good to me." 👌

Hearing such good news just made my day. I really needed something to take my mind off the craziness that just played out in front of me. I can't wait to get away from all this madness. I'm sure Deion will start to blow up my phone. Every time I try to move on with my life, he always pops up trying to pull me back in. That's how it works when you start ignoring them they want you back.

"Mel your getting all quiet. You okay?" Asks Natalie

"Yeah I'm fine I was just thinking about all that's happened. I just have a lot on my mind." 😕

"Aww you want to talk about it?" asks Natalie

"Not really I'll be fine. I just need a good nights sleep."

"Yeah after dinner go home and sleep. I think some rest will do you some good." Says Natalie

I nod my head in agreement. I believe that time always helps heal a broken heart. 🙍💔
