Caught off guard

Craig's Pov

I knew once I walked through that door, I was gonna get an earful. Natalie has been less than thrilled with my business lately. I can't understand why I'm giving her everything she wants and providing for her and Hazel. I'm a much better father than that no good punk ass Lorenzo. He hasn't seen his own daughter since we moved to Miami. If I had a child I would never treat them like that.

I finally pulled into the drive way. I didn't see any lights on so maybe she's asleep. I walk upstairs and make my way to Hazels room. When I get there she's fast asleep cuddling with the teddy bear I bought her. ☺

I walk over to her her and run my hands through her hair. "Hi princess, it's uncle Craig. I love you sleep tight."

I kiss her on the forehead and pull the sheets over her. I close her door and make my towards the bedroom.

When I get to my room I'm surprised to see she's not asleep.

"What are you doing up?"

"I wanted to wait for you. I can't sleep unless your next to me." Says Natalie

"How sweet I'm here now."

I throw off my clothes and climb into bed.

"You missed me?" 😏

"Of course." Says Natalie

"I missed you more." 😚

I pull her into my arms, but she pulls away.

"Craig I'm mad with you." Says Natalie

"What I do?"

"This is the 3rd time this week you've come home late. It seems like everyday you get home more and more late. Are you cheating on me?" 😔😥 asks Natalie

"No baby I would never hurt you. Why would you ask me something like that?" 😳

"I don't know I sound crazy. I keep thinking it's too good to he true. What would a guy like you see in me. You can have any girl you want,but instead you're here with me. I'm afraid you'll leave me." 😭 Says Natalie

"Baby I hate when you get like this. I've been late because of work. I'm trying to get this paper for us. I mean I just proposed and I want to give you the wedding of your dreams. Then we can have a nice honeymoon. You never get a break with Hazel. I just want you to be happy. I love you don't know how many times I can say. I'm really starting to hate Ray. He made you this way. I used to watch him creep around on you. I drier say anything because it wasn't any of my business. That was before I'm not that guy. I don't know how much more of this I can take." 😩😒👏

"I'm sorry please forgive me. I won't bring it up again I promise." Says Natalie

"Good lets focus on making a future."

"Yeah you're right. You always know what to say. I don't know what I would do without you." Says Natalie

"Yeah I know. I gotta ask you something since we're being honest. Are you talking to Ray?"

"What?" 😳 Says Natalie

"I meet up with my boys yesterday. Ray was throwing it my face. Saying that you still talk to him. What the hell Natalie?" 😑

"It's not what you think. I just felt sorry for him. We're friends nothing more nothing less. If it upsets you this much I won't talk to him anymore." Says Natalie

"Nah it's straight just let me know if he tries anything. I'm not letting you go."

"Don't worry he's just a friend. Once he's up to his old tricks I'm done with him. I told him not to try anything." Says Natalie

"Good. Now that we've got this cleared up I was thinking. Hazel should be the flower girl in the wedding."

"I never thought it before but yeah she should. Maybe baby Prince can be the ring carrier." 😍 Says Natalie

"That does sound cute. Look at you making all these plans. Now that's what I'm talking about. I love it when you make moves without me. Since your mood is good I wanted to ask you did you want to go to the club?"

"When?" Asks Natalie

"Tomorrow night and don't worry about a babysitter I got it covered."

"Really who I'm not leaving my baby with anyone." Says Natalie

"I meant to tell your parents are coming to town. They can watch her there gonna stay in the guest room." 😌👌

"What you talked to my parents." Says Natalie

"Yeah they wanted to surprise you. Besides baby they miss you. I know you're mad with them for giving up Hazel. You have her now so maybe it's time to move on. Don't you want your father to walk you down the aisle with you?"

"Of course I'm not mad with him. I'm mad with my mother. It's good that she's coming to town. I want her to apologize to my face and beg for forgiveness." 😒 Says Natalie

"Don't be that way. I like your family despair what you say about them. This conversation is not over with."

"Fine can we talk about this later. I'm tired I wanna sleep." Says Natalie

"Don't be mad."

"I'm not okay, good night." Says Natalie

"Good night sleeping beauty. I love you."

"I love you too." Says Natalie

The next morning I wake up bright and early. I decide to pay Ray a little visit. He's staying at some fancy hotel. Ill find him and when I do his ass is mine.

Walk to the front desk. At first the guy acts like he won't give it to me. So I get a little mean.

"You see this right here, it's my burner. Give me the room number and a key or ill have to use it."

"There's no need for that. Here take it and please sir have a nice day." Says the guy at the front desk.

I snatch the keys and head towards the elevator. I push for the 3rd floor. As soon as I get to his floor I get hype.

I make my way to his room. He isn't there yet so I wait. This will catch him off guard.

A few minutes later he walks in.

"Craig man what are you doing here?" 😳 Says Ray

"You know what this is about. Why are you talking to my girl?"

"We're just friends. Cut the act do you like her. I know you still have feeling for her. Tell me now before I get pist and you don't want that trust me."

"Okay I still love her. I don't want to ruin what me and you have. Lets just move on and ill let her go." Says Ray

"If only I trusted you. See I know you set me up. Having that guy come and want to work for me. You had that nigga steal from me. That is something I can't accept. You're a dead man walking. Natalie and the others might see a change in you. I just don't trust you. I should just shoot you right now. Too bad they'll catch me. Let me catch you out in the street. It's a done deal. This is your warning leave her alone or ill be back. Ill pistol whip you. And trust you don't want that."

"Okay ill leave her alone. Just don't shoot please man I got my whole life ahead of me." Says Ray

"I'll be back and it won't be pretty next time. By the way don't tell Natalie about our little chat. Or anyone else for that matter."

I just on my way out but something stopped me. "Nice flowers who are they for?"

"Just take them there yours." Says Ray

"That's what I thought thanks man. Natalie will love them there her favorite." 😊

I grab the red roses and leave.

I'm keeping his room key too. Just in case I have to come back.

My phone goes off before I get to the car. I look at the caller ID it's Natalie.

"I'm on my now."

"Good." Says Natalie

I hang up the phone and jump inside my car. I almost forgot I was supposed to take her and Hazel to the park. At least ill have a nice surprise when I get there.
