my head lay in freya's lap as she caress my brown hair with her brown fingers. a comfortable silence surrounded us.
we decided to lay back and watch the stars. as we sat we realized they didn't do much so we began to talk.

"are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" freya tries to pressure me again.

"freya, stop it." i sternly say.

she grows silent but continues to play in my hair. carefully twisting strands around her index finger. then she starts humming a tone and i smile, she sounds good so far. really wanting to calm my nerves from thinking too much i look up at her and smile.

"sing it." i suggest.

"sing what?" she ask with a chuckle. loosely gliding her finger along my jawline.

"that song you were just humming. sounds really calming." i say.

"I'm not good-" she starts but I interrupt.

"sing already. please." i whined.

she only rolled her eyes and mumbled a "fine." i look straight forward to the stars again.

my eyes flutter close as i listen to her angelic voice sing oh so lightly. her tone giving a jazz feel to it.

"peace and blessings manifest with every lesson learn,
if your knowledge were your wealth then it would be well earned
if we were made in his image then call us by our names
most intellects do not believe in god but the fear is just the same"

she ends the song with a raspy
run. i smile at the visual, jazzy, calming vibe my mind went into just by her voice and the lyrics.
it was a nice song.

"i've never heard of that but it sounds really good." i compliment her but her smile turns into a frown.

"you've never heard on & on??" freya shockingly questioned.

"no." i answer, looking around awkwardly.

"you have got to listen to it. lets go." freya motions for me to get up and when i do she starts walking towards the rooftop door.

"where are we going?" i ask very confused.

"my house."
