Forget Me Not

Our Home Once

We've been home for a few days now. Nik is still in the history teachers body and is playing him pretty well even though there have been a few slip ups. The spirits told me about Bonnie Bennett chaneling the spirits of one hundred dead witches that don't particularly like vampires much less Klaus or me. They say that Bonnie doesn't know about me but that's only because the spirits are sworn to secrecy and as long as I keep my secrete they'll keep theirs. Tonight's the decade dance at the high school and Nik is going. I know that Nik wants to get Bonnie to kill herself by using all of her magic but I have the feeling that they'll be able to tell what he's doing and find some sort of way to trick him and keep this Bonnie girl alive then use her as a secrete weapon. We found out that the Salvatore 's and the little doppelganger have daggered Elijah and Nik had to stop me from ripping off all of their heads in my moment of rage. I did however get to take my anger out on Katerina which was fun but only distracted me for so long then I took to knocking down trees when I punched them. Since I'd made a clearing in the middle of the trees and that place of the history teachers was so small I decided to have a house built. I compelled a bunch of construction workers to work till they dropped then for a new one to take their place till the house was finished. It was three main floors then the attic and basement. There were ten bedrooms with their own bathroom built in and walk in closets. It had a torture, dining, and sitting room along with two libraries, a kitchen, an art room, a music room, a panic/safe room, a ball/party room, a game room, and a room for anything you wanted to do. I had each of the library's filled with books from all around the world about every topic and genre imaginable and the art room filled with a mix of things Nik has painted and his favorite paintings. The fridge was stocked full of blood bags and human food for guests and the cabinets full of glass dishes. The music room had every type of instrument and was sound proof. The torture room was as well with every object you could ever use to torture someone with. The bedrooms all had king sized beds and a different design pattern. The walk in closets were full of different clothing and shoe options. The game room was in the basement and the attic was filled with things from the past thousand years of my life. Each bedroom had a flat screen TV and the basement had five. There was also a couch, two rocking chairs, a love seat, and five hamacks along with three gaming consoles and every game that could be played on them in the basement. I am waiting to tell Nik about it till he was in his own body again which was with me. I put it into his room which was the room right across from mine on the third floor. Kols room was also on this floor with Elijahs, Bekahs, and Finns on the one below it and the other four rooms on the first floor. The art room, music room, and one of the libraries was on the same floor as mine and Niks rooms then the other library was below us with everyone else's rooms. The ball/party room kitchen, dining, sitting, torture, and anything room were also on the first floor with the panic/safe room inside the basement like the game room.

Nik was getting ready in the bathroom while I was sit on the couch watching Katerina while she made coffee. Something was off about her she was acting different. I then realized she was compelled. Nik came out just as I was finally relaxed looking all handsome in this new body. I smiled at him as I stood walking over and helping with his tie. He was smiling at me and took one of Kols favorite lines making me give him a sad smile. "Tell me how handsome I am sunshine". He soon realized his mistake as he saw the hurt on my face. I shook my head and gave an answer "I'd love to Nik... but I just can't lie to you". By the end I had a playful smirk that told him I was just kidding and he looked just fine and he was smiling knowing that I did give him some truth in that answer I've never lied to him and never will. After that he gave me a hug and said he'd be back later. I nodded my head and smiled while begging the spirits to protect him inside my head. Hesitantly they agreed because that was part of their promise and mine from over a thousand years ago.

Once Nik got back he told me everything that happened and how that Bennett witch is now dead. When he said that I felt something inside me saying it wasn't true that they had tricked him but I ignored it and listened to him. I decided that he could use a distraction from all of this and asked if he trusted me. He said he did and I took him to see the house well more of a mansion that I had built. I showed him every room and he pointed out how certain ones matched certain personalities from each of us. Bekahs room was full of girlish things and had hearts on the walls. Elijahs was simple with white walls that held pictures of his family in all of the places they had been to. Finns was exactly like Elijahs except instead of family pictures he had rare paintings. Kols was complex and arrogant while still having a soft side the same way he did. His bed had black sheets and covers while the walls were painted white and had the phrase 'Hakuna Matata' written in black. Niks room had his body in it and that's how he knew it was his. There were pictures and paintings on the walls. The pictures of our family and the paintings he had made. He looked around it for a few minutes before he stopped at the only painting in the room that he hadn't made himself. It was of all of us sitting on the steps having fun and talking to each other and I had made it. Nik studied it for a while before he turned to me with a raised eyebrow and a curious yet sad look in his eyes. "I painted it soon after I learned how to paint". He nodded and studied it some more before he turned to me and smiled while saying "this place is amazing sunshine I can't believe how big it is and how well each room matches a certain personality. I also noticed that there where rooms for the rest of us even though they currently reside in coffins and the Salvatore basement. So what are you thinking love?". I smiled and pointed to the door indicating for him to follow as I walked to the sitting room and took a seat before turning to face him and explaining "well if it's ever safe to be together again and to undagger them then I would like for us all to stay here. It was our home once and I'd like for it to be that way again". He smiled while giving me a hug then went to his room and went to sleep while I walked around the house thinking about everything that's happened since we became vampires and even before. I finally got tired and went up to my room. I stopped outside of Niks door and looked in to see him sleeping peacefully. I walked over and gave him a kiss on the forehead and wispered "goodnight Nik sweet dreams and I love you" quietly into his ear. After that I went to my room changed into my pajamas then climbed into my bed where I dreamt of the day Mikeal tried to kill me but failed.
