So Friday night was AMAZING
I know I'm kind of late writing about it (I've been a bit busy the past couple of days) but I still wanted to write about it.
So something I find kind of hilarious about 5SOS concerts is the amount of parents that go and the amount of 10-year-olds that go. Like, Hey Violet was the first opening act and they literally played a song called "Fukboi" which I now NEED a studio version of.
Also there were a bunch of parents sitting near me and my friend (including a dad who howled like a wolf in between the main set and the encore) and they kept leaving to go get more beer.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DRIVE YOUR CHILDREN HOME TONIGHT
So yeah, that was funny, but seeing the boys a second time was just amazing.
Michael was wearing a camo-patterned shirt and Calum and Luke kept calling him a tree and making fun of him for it (from a distance it did sort of look like his shirt was covered in trees or something).
When Michael said "Who wants to kiss Calum?" Calum replied with "Who wants to kiss Michael" and the crowd screamed even louder.
Luke's microphone stopped working during SLSP so the crowd sang the first verse for him but I somehow forgot the words (??)
It legit took a solid two minutes for Michael to start singing the first verse of Jet Black Heart because everyone kept screaming and at first he had a straight face, then he started smiling, then he started wiggling his eyebrows and made us scream even louder.
Also I kept hugging my friend who I went with because she was crying during songs like Amnesia and JBH and I'm pretty sure that the girl next to me thought me and my friend were a couple (which is slightly awkward because I went with the girl I've written about a few times, the one who has admitted that she likes me and I've admitted the same to her).
Overall, the night was amazing, and it was kind of hilarious hearing the mom standing next to my friend gasp when Calum said "fuck".
I want my friend to send me some of the videos she took from it because I have some but I ran out of storage on my phone at the end of Castaway so I couldn't really get anything after that.
If you haven't seen the boys before, I really hope that you get the opportunity to. While it may end with you having a sore arm from waving it around and you not being able to hear properly out of your left ear for a few days, it is absolutely worth it. It's an amazing experience, and I promise I'm not trying to write this in order to brag.
Love you guys,
Cat
