*****Kate*****
He what?!" Kendal yelled into my ear.
I was driving us to school, and we were stopped at a red light. I thought it was a great time to tell her... But then again maybe it wasn't.
"We kissed. Not he, we." I corrected, "and this cannot leave this car. He will lose his job, and Bennett will lose his ever loving mind."
     "Not even Kyle?"
     "Especially Kyle."
"Fine, but how did it feel?"
"Like getting caught in a thunderstorm. The vibration of the lightning hitting the air..."
     "Stop being distracted and drive."
"But you're the one that started this."
I drove on towards the school. When we got there we got out and walked into the school. I wasn't worried about seeing Mr. Hanes, actually I was looking forward to it.
I walked up the stairs, and I was dressed up like a horse, sort of... Long story. Mr. Hanes was there smiling at me then turned to the board.
     "Good morning..."
"There you are." I heard Bennett say.
     "Yes, here I am."
"I'm so glad that you dressed up."
"Well, I didn't have a choice." I said, "Kendal made me."
     "I know."
He sat down in his seat and then handed me his letterman jacket.
     "What is this for?"
"You're going to get cold in that short sleeved brown shirt."
     "Right."
I took it and put it on. It did help.
"Thank you." I said glancing back up at Mr. Hanes.
He glanced at me then went into the hallway to man his post. People were starting to come into the room, and Bennett's friends noticed me wearing his jacket.
"So, it's serious again, is it?" Brandon asked.
"Yes, it's totally serious." He said looking at me.
I put on a small smile and looked up at him. I think Bennett saw though it.
Can I 'date' him and hang-out with Mr. Hanes instead? I think I will.
     "You okay, Kate?" Bennett asked.
     "Just peachy."

     Ray:
You can come this afternoon. I promise it won't happen again.
     Me:
Actually... I wouldn't mind it happening again.
     Ray:
Me too, but it can't because I will lose my job, and it will be on my record. That is the last thing I need.
     Me:
Got it, and I might be there. I haven't decided.
     Ray:
No pressure. You do what you want to do.
     Me:
I will.
