Growing up with cats and dogs, I got used to the sounds of scratching at my door while I slept. Now that I live alone, it's much more unsettling. I sit up and turn on the lights, my eyes adjusting to the change. I stumble out of bed and walk towards the door. The sooner I find the cause of this noise the better.
I slowly open the door to find...nothing. I'm about to close it when I hear growling from behind me.
