Repercussions

My smile wavered, a deep haunting heartache had set in and I felt a deep pang of remorse as I ran. I hadn't used my Vampire speed to such a degree since the first time I'd run with my newfound power. I felt the familiar leaf piles of the Autumnal ground as it crunched beneath my inhumanly fast speed.

"Elena!" I crashed through the Salvatore boarding house door. I had both my own and Tyler's blood all over me, and my dress was shredded over my left boob, and all down my right side.  My leg had a seven inch gash from the top of my thigh down to my kneecap, and I was clutching my collarbone in agony.

Her inhuman abilities meant that she appeared before me as my knees collapsed, and she grabbed me with a cry that told me she was frightened, and angry. She hated when people messed with her family and friends, and she was ferociously loyal. It amused me that she probably thought Silas has envoked this savage brutality upon me, wait til she found out it was my boyfriend...

Ex-boyfriend. I was really gonna have to get used to saying that.

"Care, what the hell happened?" I heard the footsteps somewhere to my right that signalled Damon's arrival. I didn't mind too much that they had this thing at the moment, I suspected it would be short lived and that Elena would get her brain back and pick the right brother when Stefan came back. If he ever came back.

"I broke up with Tyler, it didn't go well" Elena had a sympathetic smile upon her face as she helped me up onto the sofa. Damon took a swig of his drink in his hand, from the smell I guessed hardcore whiskey, it made my stomach turn.

"Well blondie, trust you to turn something so meaningless into such a drama" I scowled at his lack of humour, of anyone he should understand the struggle Tyler and I had gone through to get together, and to have it all fall apart was hard.

"Would it be meaningless if it was you and Elena who broke up?" I put on my nicey nicey voice but aimed my death glare straight at him, hoping it would penetrate whatever was left of a soul in there. He grimaced and half scowled, like my comment had managed to pierce his uncaring facade and reach the tiny part of him that might still have a little humanity, that part was his love for Elena.

"Care, I hope you don't mind me saying, but you look like shit. What did he do?" She obviously didn't get the 'Dangers Of Dating A Werewolf When Your A Vampire 101'  because she was clearly clueless to the huge repercusssions of me and Tyler having an argument.

"Elena he bit me!" I heard my voice crack. Realisation set in, dawning like a new day sun, and it made me hysterical. "Oh my God, Elena, I'm gonna die. I'm going to die, like really die! Not vampire die, or come back as a ghost die, but really die!" I was scared, genuinely scared, and for the first time since I'd become a vampire it wasn't for my friends or family. But for me.

"Tyler bit you?" Anger was clear in Elena's face as Damon yelled the question which I was sure was pretty damn obvious now. Elena stood up and began pacing the coffee table in a rage, clearly plotting the many ways she could string up the young werewolf boy.

"What do I do?" I knew Elena would be no use at this, the only ideas she ever came up with seemed to involve her giving up her freedom to help others, and their was no way that would help me here. So I asked Damon, and surprisingly actual worry showed on his features.

"Isn't it simple? Your going on holiday" A twinkle of an idea showed in his eyes, and I tried to smother the small amount of excitement that was bubbling within me. Klaus? But would we even get there in time?

"Does she have enough time to get to Los Angeles?" Elena still had the glint of murderous madness that had not been present in her gaze before she became a vampire, in her eyes. And even though she did care about me, I could tell she had bloodlust dominant in her, and it was making her go mad for Tylers sweet werewolf blood.
