Song for the chapter: Mirrors by Justin Timberlake

~~~
"I don't wanna lose you now, I'm looking right at the other half of me. The vacancy that sat in my heart is a space that now you hold. Show me how to fight for now, and I tell ya baby it was easy coming back onto you once I figured it out. You were right here all along."
"And that night, they both went to sleep, having unwanted and confused feelings for each other. And in that rain stained night, he looked at her and he fell completely in love."
The rain was banging against the windshield, practically making me jump in my seat every time. Late spring has always been filled with storms and crazy winds. The trees on either side of the highway were dancing like crazy in the wind.
I look over at the beautiful man sitting over in the drivers seat, his green eyes reflecting the moonlight. Harry and I have been friends for a while, but ever since the kiss it has been awkward at times, including right now.
I didn't know whether I or Harry should speak first, but I was getting myself that Harry was going to say nothing at all. His arm was hung over the steering wheel, and his eyes had small bags underneath them.
"What's wrong?" Harry asks his voice laced with sleepiness, making it even more raspy. I never want to admit to myself but it's small things that Harry does that gets to me. Like simply asking me what was wrong, made me just want to jump into his arms.
"Oh nothing, just the quiet air eating me alive." A small laugh escapes my mouth, making Harry smirk. Harry's personality always changes in an instant, so I was always careful about what I said around the ticking time bomb.
"It doesn't have to be quiet Sarah, we can talk like humans." I shrug my shoulders, wondering if Harry and I really could communicate like regular people. Once we start talking, it always leads to us fighting.
"Oh yeah? What do humans talk about Harry?" I bite my lower lip, waiting for Harry to say something ridiculous. Harry glances over at me for a second, a tired smile wiped across his face.
"The weather, their favorite foods, and colors. Boring shit like that." I don't even know Harry's favorite color or food, considering I never decided to ask. Harry and I don't really have many structured conversations.
"Okay the weather is awful, my favorite food is anything, and my favorite color is purple. Your turn." Harry rolls his eyes, probably not expecting me to answer the simple questions.
Harry clears his throat before speaking, as if he was about to announce something extremely important. "The weather is lovely, my favorite food is nothing, and my favorite color is you." Harry looks over at me with a smug expression on his face.
I swat Harry's arm at his answers, considering I got no real information out of them. "That was bullshit." I start laughing, realizing how stupid Harry was acting, but loving every minute of him being playful.
"No it was not, it was all truth. I'd never lie to you Goldie." I slap Harry's arm a second time, this time in revenge for him calling me Goldie again. "Ouch, that was uncalled for." I scoff at Harry's response, he obviously saw it coming.
"You called me Goldie again, after I told you how much I hate it!" The rain was still hitting the window, making the environment in the car quiet but serene. Just Harry, me, the rain, and the moon.
