Let Me Go

Stained glass from dripping tears,

a wittness of overwhelming fears.

I look at it, my sight a messy blurr,

how much longer do I need to endure

this experience you put me through?

Ten years should be enough already.

You used to be caring and steady,

but what is left from your loving vows

isn't more than a needle hidden in straws.

Yet, you refuse to let me go alone?

The path we follow has parted since,

your decisions only make we wince.

Had you ever touched my inner self,

you'd know the way out of the maze.

You couldn't really have forgotten?

It continues along, bitter like this.

You've got no idea of the things I miss.

I tried to talk, but you wouldn't hear.

Now it's too late to deny our fear.

It's all we still share, can't you see?

Let me go - it saves you and me.
