A falling star reminds me of you,

just like rain and sunshine do.

We were so close, more than friends.

Like sisters, only with other parents.

Then there came this call one day,

I heard that you had passed away.

"No!" I screamed, "It just can't be!"

It was so much left for us to see.

I'm standing here, alone at night,

and so much wish to hold you tight.

I hear your voice, only in my mind:

"The world's not fair and neither kind."

It's been four years without you now

and still it pokes on me like a tow.

I owe you much and miss you so deep.

Is it a wonder that I still wheep?

But your smile I remember as well,

so pure and sweet like waters dwell.

Also the sparkling eyes of yours,

and your whisper, lovely as doves.

We planned to explore land and sea,

and we do, am carrying you with me.

You're unforgotten, sister of mine,

and one day we will again entwine.

Until then God may hold you close,

for I cannot, needed to let you rose.

What I praise is your loss of pain,

because for you it was a great gain.

And that's the reason I smile again,

knowing you smile, too - up in heaven.
