Chapter 7

*Morning*

I woke up to someone knocking on my balcony door. It was 7:05, shit I forgot to set my alarm. I got out of my bed and opened the door. "hey Sunshine" Vic said and smiled. "I look like shit" I said as he came into my room. "you do not" he said. "ah look at me. there's mascara smeared all over my face, my hairs a mess. I'm in shorts, you can see my bra threw my shirt. oh my god! you can see my bra threw my shirt!!" I said and put my hands over my boobs, trying to cover myself up. Vic bit his lip and kept checking me out. "Victor stop!!" I yelled and covered myself with a blanket. "sorry, I just can't help it" He said. "whatever. I hope you don't mind but I'm taking a shower" I said and went into the bathroom. did I mention I have my own bathroom? my room's pretty cool, anyway's I got into the shower and washed my hair out really good. I fished and got out, I wrapped the towel around myself and then remembered I forgot to bring clean clothes in with me. fuck, I opened the door a little and Vic was laying there playing with his phone. "Vic.. I ah kinda forgot my clothes so can you like close your eyes or something" I said and bit my lip. "ah ok" he said and covered his eyes. I walked out and started getting clothes. "I swear to god Vic, if you open your eyes I will kill you" I said and grabbed what I needed. "I won't look, I'm not that kind of guy" he said. I knew he meant what he said. I smiled to myself and got back into the bathroom. "thanks Vic" I said threw the door. "no problem" he said. I got dressed and put on a white V-neck shirt, and black skinny jeans. I walked out and grabbed my make up bag. I went back into the bathroom and Vic leaned on the bathroom door frame. "you're still not done?" he asked. "nope" I said. "damn girl" he said and lightly laughed. I put on black eyeliner and mascara, that's all I really use now a days. "I'm almost done" I said and walked out the bathroom. I grabbed my beanie and a black sweater. I put on my black high tops and I put on my beanie. I grabbed my phone and car keys, Vic followed me as I walked into my brothers room and opened his closet. I pulled out a shoe box and opened it. I pulled out the dog tags my brother always wore. I put mine in here too when my dad left us... I grabbed both of them and walked out of his room. "what are those for?" Vic asked as we got into my car. I started driving to the hospital. "one's mine and the other one is my little brother's. My dad gave it to us before he left us... it's the only thing we have left of him" I said. "...is your dad dead?" Vic asked. I shook my head no and said "he left us for another woman. he has was never here for me.... he promised to come back, he promised me and Max a lot of things. they were all lies." I said. "I'm sorry Alice.. I shouldn't have asked." Vic said. "don't be. that guy was never a father to me, he means nothing to me" I said. as much as this hurts me to say its true. I still miss him... but I will never forgive him for what he did.. ever. we arrived at the hospital and went up to Max's room. I opened the door and walked in with Vic. "Alice!!" Max yelled when he saw me. "Hey Max" I said and gave him a hug. "who is he? your boyfriend?" Max asked looking at Vic. "No, hes not my boyfriend and his name is Vic" I said. "hey bud, its nice to finally meet you" Vic said. "hi, is that... no way you brought my dog tag necklace!" max said and I handed him his. he put his own and looked at mine which was in my hand. "aren't you gonna put it on?" he asked. I shook my head no and said "not today Max..". "why not? come on Alice, please!? for me?" he said. "fine" I said and put mine own. I ha vent worn this is forever, Vic looked at me as I played with the dog tag. "hey Vic, do you know any scary stories" Max asked Vic. I lightly laughed and Vic said "as a matter of fact I do". Vic smiled at me as Max's eyes lit up. "tell me the story please!" max said. "ok buddy, don't get to scared" Vic said sitting down and telling the story. I can already tell Max likes Vic a lot, Vic is so good with kids.. I'm falling hard for Vic and its scaring me... my relationship with Jason was horrible, I'm just not ready to date again and take the risk of getting my heart broken again. I really loved Jason.. a lot. I thought he was my world but soon I knew he wasn't. after he started being so abusive I didn't want anything to do with him. as much as I hate to admit this part of me still likes Jason.... he was my first love, I just don't know anymore. "hey Alice" Max said snapping me out of my thoughts. "what time is it?" max asked. "um.. its 2:30. which means Me and Vic have to go" I said getting up. "aw... will you come back tomorrow?" Max asked. "we'll see..." was all I could say. Max frowned and I kissed his forehead. "cheer up Max, you know I have school and mom would kill me if she finds out I skipped today" I said. "ok.. what about next week? will you come then?" max asked. I smiled and said "of course I will". "what about you Vic?" Max asked with a big smile on his face. Vic looked unsure of what to say so I spoke first "Max.. Vic has school. he doesn't have time". "actually I have time on Wednesday! I'll stop by and see you max" Vic said and smiled at both of us. I was shocked.. was Vic serious or is he just saying this to make max happy. I need to know.. I don't want max to be disappointed if Vic doesn't come. he's been lied to enough... "I'll see you later" I said and me and Vic walked out. "Vic, did you lie or are you serious about coming to see him because hes been lied to enough and I don't want to-" "I'm serious Alice. I saw how happy he makes you. I could tell he means a lot to you. and if that little boy wants me to come visit him then I will. I hate lying, I never lie. and I would never lie to anyone especially to a little boy who's fighting for his life" this touched my heart, no one has ever said this to me. No one has ever done this for my brother. "thanks Vic. Max means the world to me, it means a lot for you to do this" I said as we got into my car. "you don't have to thank me" Vic said. "ok. are you hungry?" I asked. "a little" Vic said. "you up for a burger?" I asked. "sure but I'm paying" he said. "it's on me, I invited you" I said. "true but like I said I'm paying" he said. "I am" I said. "nope" Vic said. I laughed a little and said "fine". I drove to McDonalds [sorry, it's midnight and that's all I could think of xD but aye who doesn't like McDonalds (;] we went in and ordered our food. we got our food and sat down. we started eating, and let me tell you Vic is a messy eater. I don't know how this happened but Vic got ketchup on his cheek. I started laughing and Vic said "what's so funny?". "nothing" I said and tried to stop laughing but it didn't work. "tell me!?" Vic said. "you got ketchup right there" I said and wiped it off. "oh.." he said and turned red. "hey babe" Jason said sitting next to me. not again I thought. "what do you want?" I said. "I think we both know what that is" he said. "I have no clue" I said. "I want you back" Jason said. Vic tensed up and glared at Jason. "we both know that's not gonna happen so leave" I said. Next thing I know Jason's lips were pressed against mine. I tried to pull away and I soon pushed him away. "don't you ever try to do that again" I said and grabbed Vic's wrist and pulled him outside. we got into my car and I drove away. "do you want me to drop you off at your house?" I asked. "yeah but um.. are you ok?" he asked. I'm not ok.. but I don't want Vic to worry about me. I guess I have to lie, ugh I hate lying. "I'm fine" I said without looking at him. he stared at me for a while and then said "turn left at the end of this street". I did as he said and continued driving. "turn left here" he said. I turned left and he told me to stop here. "hey Vic, you live right behind my house... that's how you heard me screaming last night right?" I said. "yeah.. I got worried" he said. I smiled and then I remembered something... the song I've been hearing, could it be Vic? "can I ask you something?" I said. "sure" vic said. "have you been hearing a band play? there's this song they always play... I really like it" I said. Vic stared at his hands for a while and then said "I've been hearing them too. I don't know who it is though". so it isn't Vic... I need to find that guy. the guy who sings that song. "oh.. ok. well I'll see you tomorrow" I said. Vic smiled and got out. "bye Alice" he said and waved as I drove off.

Vic's POV

I sighed and went inside. I hate lying, especially to Alice. "you Ok?" Mike said as I sat down on the couch. I shook my head no. "what's wrong?" Mike asked. "Alice has been hearing a band play... Our Band." I said.. That's right, She was hearing our band play...

WHAT!?! O: why did Vic lie? Why didn't he tell Alice the truth? you'll have to wait and find out in the next chapter (; Muhahaha >:] xD
