Chapter 5: Rival Spotted

Chaeri woke up hearing repeated knocks on her door, her eyes squinting from the suns rays that passed through her window, she had forgotten to draw the curtains last night,

"Chaeri~ wake up!" Bambam voiced knocking on the door "It's morning already, you'll be late for- what was it called again?"

"It's school, Bambam, do I have to repeat it to you everytime?" Jackson said, rolling his eyes in disbelief,

"Oh, right, you'll be late for school!"

Chaeri's eyes widened as she stared at the clock, she stood up surprising Bambam and Jackson as she burst out of her room in her school uniform, she only have half an hour to get ready,

"Oh gosh! I'll be late again!" She uttered in panic dashing to the kitchen only to be surprised by the food prepared on the table,

"How-" Chaeri's gaze went to the door where the seven boys stood grinning,

"It's just bacon and that soft fluffy thing you call bread." Bambam beamed proudly,

"H-how-"

"Bambam had somehow watched you cook last night and was miraculously able to copy what you did." Yugyeom said answering your unfinished question as he made you sit on one of the chairs,

"It's not just Bambam, Yugyeom." Jackson said "We also helped set the table, remember? Don't let him get all the credit or he'll end up only looking good in Chaeri's eyes and we'll be forgotten." Jackson chided as he sat beside Chaeri,

Chaeri silently stared in awe at the food and then to the 7 wolves on the table and before she knew it tears started to form in her eyes surprising them as it trickled down her cheeks,

"A-are those…tears?" Jr asked in awe,

Jackson grabbed her by the shoulders making her face him, he stared worriedly at the water that was running from Chaeri's eyes, wiping them with his thumb in panic,

"Y-your crying, Chaeri." Jackson stuttered "Didn't you like the food?" He asked,

Bambam frantically took the plate of bacon from the table after hearing Jackson "Did I cook it wrong?" He asked sniffing the plate of bacon,

"Hey, Bambam, Did you put something you shouldn't have?!" Marks eyebrows raised in accusation,

"N-no… that's not it…" Chaeri spoke, wiping her tears before flashing them a grateful smile "I just never thought you'd do this for me…" she said surprising them,

"Well…it's the least we could do" Youngjae replied brushing the back of his neck  shyly "We did owe you for forcing ourselves in your house…"

"Yeah, and think of it also as an apology for JB-hyung's mean attitude towards you-ooowch!" Bambam cringed after earning an elbow on the side from JB,

"How did the topic end up with me?" JB's eyebrows raised at the talkative Bambam beside him,

"Kay, I'm shutting up." Bambam said making a gesture of zipping his mouth making Chaeri chuckle,

"You probably should eat now" Yugyeom smiled as he placed some food on her plate,

"Thank you…" she smiled at them warmly before focusing on her food,

I hummed, a smile plastered on my lips as I got off the bus and trod the path to school, who knew those seven wolves could be so sweet and JB has his soft side after all,
