Ch.14

Ben POV:
John suddenly falls to the ground.
" John" I yelled.
He doesn't respond.
The walker starts walking closer.
I reach for anything at my side, finding nothing.
I remembered that me or John hadn't brought anything to defend ourselves with.
Shit I thought as the walker crypt closer.
I wanted to ran for the house, but John was still on the ground.
" John get up please" I cried out kneeling down next to him.
I pushed his body trying to get him to wake up.
I couldn't tell if he was paralyzed or sleep, one thing I did know is that I wasn't going to leave him behind.
The walker was only a few feet away when Lexi got free of the leash, that John was still holding tight.
She started growling at the walker, The walker stood it's ground as well as Lexi did.
She continued to bark and growl.
The walker hissed and groaned as it started walking towards us again.
She gave one last bark as if trying to warn it.
It's didn't stop though.
She suddenly Leap forward and bite it's arm.
Ripping and Tearing at it, it hissed trying to get her off.
She let loose it's arm and bite it's neck.
She dragged it to the ground not loosening her grip.
After a few seconds of holding it down, she bit down one final time and ripped out a good chunk of its neck.
Blood splattered everywhere, as the walker bled out.
It dropped its head and no longer moved.
Lexi dropped the piece of flesh in her mouth, and headed towards me and John.
She rubbed her face against John's, as if trying to wake him up.
His eyes suddenly fluttered open.
" w..what happened" he asked.
I didn't reply back still being in amazement of what the dog did.

Jewel POV:
Where are those two I asked myself.
The sun was already halfway in the sky, and we still needed to get all the supplies.
Then the gate slammed open and in walked the guys and Lexi.
I walked towards then, since I was already sitting in the backyard.
" what took you two so long" I asked.
Then I saw that Lexi's mouth was covered in blood.
I kneeled down beside her.
" what happened to Lexi" I yelled, " is this her blood?".
" w..what no it's walker blood" Ben stuttered immediately.
" oh, what walker are you two ok" I asked.
" ask Lexi" Ben said.
" can we head inside before story time, my head still hurts" John asked.
" sure?" I said.
We all headed inside, I really wanted to know what happened because at this point I was really confused.
" paisley they're back" I yelled.
" ok" she yelled back, " be down in a minute".
I wondered what she was doing this whole time, but right now I needed to help John and hear this story.
I got a wet cloth for John and sat him down and the couch.
We all sat down in the living room and waited for paisley before Ben started the story.
Once she finally came down he started.
" sorry for saying this, but can you try to make a quick we still have a lot of stuff to get done" I asked.
He nodded his head and began.

After he finished, I looked at Lexi in amazement.
Then at John in concern.
" why did you black out" I asked.
" I..I'm not sure, One minute I'm walking the next time on the ground" he said.
Lexi walked up to John and licked his face, luckily I cleaned her up in time or else John would be covered in walker blood.
" thanks for the save lex" he said gently pushing her away.
" yeah thank lex" Ben said.
She walked up to him as well.
He looked scared at first but after a second started petting her.
" good to see you two are getting along" I said.
He nodded his head.
" ok so now I have a list for each person, you must get these items by the end of the day" I said handing out the lists.
" why the lists so short" John asked.
" well there's a few places we can stop at on the way there, plus it's less for us to carry along" I said.
" ok" he replied.
" you sure your well enough to go out again" I asked.
" yeah I only hit my head" he said, " I'm fine".
" ok let's get going then" I said.
We all headed out.
