Dan's Pov

I woke up to find Phil underneath me, snoring lightly. I very carefully tried to get off of him so as not to wake him up, which proved to be quite difficult, but I eventually succeeded.

Once I left Phil's room, I decided to go get a shower. I still kind of felt emotionally shocked and numb, and didn't realize until I had turned off the water and dried off that it had been icy cold.

Well, at least now I was awake.

I quickly threw on some clothes and did my hair before walking out to the kitchen, only to find Phil eating my cereal.

Again.

I slowly crept up behind him, being careful not to make a sound, then, once I was right behind him, I tapped him on the shoulder and shouted "boo!".

He nearly choked on the cereal, but managed to spit half of it out in a disgusting gob on the counter.

When he finally turned around, I quickly pressed my lips up against his, preventing him from doing anything to get revenge.

When I finally pulled away, I decided maybe I should question Phil while he was in a good mood. I poured myself a bowl of cereal and asked Phil to sit down at the table with me. He took the seat beside me, then looked at me, waiting for me to start talking.

"Phil," I began, "do you remember anything that happened after you were stabbed?"

"No," he replied, looking extremely confused. "The last thing I remember before waking up here was passing out in that parking lot!"

I had no idea whether or not I should tell him what had happened, how he had died in the hospital. He clearly didn't remember it, and it might be a bit of a shock to find that out.

But on the other hand, it could help him to remember what had happened after he had died...

Finally, I decided.

"Um, Phil... this might be a little shocking to you... oh, who am I kidding, you're probably going to pass out when I tell you. After you were stabbed... in the hospital, you, um, well, you died."

He didn't seem to believe me at first, but after a few moments I guess he realized that I was being serious, and his expression changed. He was now completely shocked.

And then my prediction proved to be correct as his face went just slightly more pale and he passed out.
