The Dance pt. 2

Jacob's POV

My mom is on her way back with the stuff I wanted her to buy for Krysta. I told her to make sure to hide it so Krysta doesn't see it. Weston, Hunter, Bryce, Maddy, Lexi, and Halle are helping by making a banner to hang up in the park. They are also gonna bring some candles so it looks really cool and romantic when it's dark out. I can't wait!!! I hope Mark won't be mad when I take his girlfriend to the dance. I treat her so much better though! I don't know why she picked him. Krysta could tell I was getting angry because  my hand went into a fist. She came over and hugged me. I guess it made me feel a little better. We went over to the couch and talked for a little bit. Mark came up in the subject so we started talking about him. That's when Krysta said,

"He broke up with me last night..."

She looked so upset. There was a single tear that ran down her face. You see, if Krysta and I were together she wouldn't be like this. I had a little smile on my face because they broke up.

"Why are you smiling? Do you like to see me upset?"

I quickly covered it up with,

"No I hate seeing you upset and I'm smiling because I'm thinking about the amazing day we are going to have together!"

She smiled which made me feel better. My mom drove in the driveway and walked in. Of course she forgot to cover the bag up so Krysta was getting suspicious. I texted my mom telling her that Krysta saw the bags! Then I texted the group chat with everyone except Krysta saying that she saw the bags and is getting suspicious. Maddy replied saying " Just say it was for your aunts birthday or something"
I quickly said that to Krysta and I think she believed me. I hope she did!
*an hour later*
We were walking towards chipotle and of course we ran into the group with all the candles, lights, and poster! Lexi had bought a single rose as well! I quickly turned around and started to jog away from the area. Krysta started running towards me and asked what's going on. I told her that I forgot something at home. I said I forgot my phone and I hope she believed me! I felt terrible lying to her but it was gonna be ok since its for a surprise.

We got back to my house and I 'grabbed' my phone and we headed back out. I went the other way this time so Krysta doesn't see the others setting up the Park. We headed to chipotle and ate. We were walking to the movies when Krysta started to shiver. I made the stupid decision to have her hold my phone while I take my sweatshirt off. While she held my phone Bryce texted me saying,
" Hey man the park is good."

And of course she ran away and called someone. This is so hard to keep from her. I ran and took her phone. She was jumping on me and grabbing at her phone trying to get it back. I hung up with the person and told Her,
"It's a suprize!!!"
So we carried on to the movies! As we got there we saw...
