#22.5 A Work in Progress

"Do you really think we can make it better?" I ask, interlocking my fingers with his. He nods. "It's worth a shot. Besides, we've only been apart for two weeks. You couldn't possibly have forgotten the good times we had?" He jokes, earning a small smile from me.

"You're a pretty unforgettable person, Harry," I tell him honestly. I could live a whole lifetime and never forget the way he made me feel. That's love. "Is it wrong that I can't picture myself without you?"

The next thing I know, his lips are on mine, and his long curl are tickling my cheek. It's a short and sweet kiss. When he pulls away I'm left wanting more. "I can't picture myself without you either," he tells me.

"Then it looks like we're making progress." I give his lips a soft peck.

Two year later...

"And that's pretty much what happened that night," I finish my story, chuckling. Both Anne and Gemma were shaking their heads in disbelief. "Yeah, I know. Crazy."

I was spending the weekend with the Styles', so we were having girl talk while Harry napped. Being that my friends lived further away, it was nice having them so close. Sometimes only another curl can solve your problems.

"Harry never said a thing about this, what the heck?!" Gemma gushes. "He knows I love sappy get-back-togethers," she whines, fake pouting.

Just as she says that, he walks into the room shirtless. "I heard my name fifty million times. What are you ladies talking about?" He scratches his stomach tiredly.

We laugh at his confusion, making him furrow his eyebrows. I motion for him to sit next to me and he complies. "I was telling them the story of our break-up, babe." I sling an arm around his shoulders.

He runs a hand through his hair and groans. "Oh my gosh, Y/N. I'm never leaving you alone with them again," he mumbles. Gemma laughs and sticks her tongue out at him. "You guys are the worst." He leans his head onto my shoulder.

"But you still love us," Anne coos.

"And you especially love Y/N. Even after your two week break-up with her," Gemma teases.

These were literally the best people in the whole wide world.
