Song for the chapter: Sparks by Coldplay

~~~
"But I promise you this, I'll always look out for you, that's what I'll do.
And I saw sparks."
The weekend of the wedding had approached us, sooner than anyone thought it would've. This whole week went by in a blur, full of conversations about hairdos and wedding dress decisions. Liam was excited for his mother, but nervous about his best man speech. I already knew that he'd say the most amazing things about Mr. Lance, that's just who Liam is.
We'd have to be ready by one-thirty, meaning that my hair and makeup had to be pure perfection in three hours. Clair and I had just gotten back from brunch with Liam, Sophia, Louis, Niall, Zayn, and Perrie. Harry didn't want to attend the pre-wedding festivities, making me wonder if he was even still coming.
My dress was draped over the closet door, hanging beautifully, so it wouldn't get wrinkled. I mean it is a two-thousand dollar dress, I didn't want anything at all happening to it. Especially since Harry bought it, I didn't want it to even grow a wrinkle.
Clair was jumping off the walls with excitement, going with Louis had made her the happiest girl in the world. It was already clear that Louis loved her with all his being, he'd do anything for her, Clair was still dubious as always.
All I could keep my mind on was being at the wedding with Harry. Would he dance with me, twirl me around, with the twinkling lights flickering in his eyes. I hope he finds some wonder in love, a love that wasn't ours. Maybe he'd see that love doesn't have to be so painful, but it can just be two people coexisting, in life, in love.
Harry better not start any arguments, or have the slightest of a sour attitude. Even if he hated weddings and marriage, he shouldn't ruin it for the two people that are in love and believe in their happiness. If Harry wants to fight, he better be prepared to never hear from me again.
The room door opens, Clair strolls in, with a towel wrapped around her head and a big smile on her face. She had already looked so carefree and beautiful, without even doing anything to her natural self.
"Are you getting ready for the wedding? We leave in like three hours Sarah." Clair reminds me as she sits down at her dresser, combing out her dark brown hair, getting ready to dry it.
I look at my reflection in the mirror, thankfully I had no tragic breakouts before the wedding, which means my skin was looking okay. I'd still need to do my hair and makeup, but unlike Clair I showered last night, leaving me more time for this morning.
The weather was sunny today, with the birds chirping in tress and the sun coming through the few leaves left on branches. An October wedding sounds beautiful, in the perfect weather that isn't too hot or too cold, it's just perfect.
The wedding was taking place outside, in Liam's huge backyard that literally runs for miles. Karen told me that lights were going to be hung above the reception, making it look like an abundance of stars were shining over the whole party. It was the most magnificent idea to me.
"I'm getting ready now, don't worry mom." I mock Clair's motherly tone, and get started on my hair. My main idea was to just curl it, making it look as whisky and carefree as possible. It is an outdoor wedding, meaning that it's much more of a carefree beauty theme.
