"I GOT IT . "Monte had yelled

I heard heavy foot steps coming towards the kitchen . I looked to see Darnell who had on a button down polo with some khakis and some sperrys on.

(he looked good but I'm still mad).

"Lila can I talk to you for a sec" he said

I just ignored him , I was still mad from two days ago.

(yea I'm a little petty, my brother was shot cause of him)

"Look I get that you are still mad but I'm sorry" he said

I still ignore him. I kept chopping up the onions like he didn't exist. he doesn't realize he putting me through a whole lot of bull crap man.

"Lila I'm serious" he said getting loud ( I can tell he was getting mad)

"Ok then fuck it "he said

I thought he gave up but that didn't happen. Out of nowhere He picks me up and putting me over his shoulder.

I'm surprise I wasn't too heavy for him.

"Put me down Darnell!! " I said hitting him in his back repeatedly.

Tahj and Monte just laughed at me.

"This is not funny y'all"

"Oh this is very funny I'm putting this on snapchat" Tahj said.

Ughh this so frustrating.

I was still hitting him in his back but I was thrown on a bed I was about to get up but Darnell got on top of me holding me down.

This was so uncomfortable.

"Will you stop I'm trying to tell you something important that can save yo life" he said out of breath heavily looking me dead in my eyes

"Why should I listen to you ,obviously you couldn't keep Monte safe from getting shot" I spat

"OH MY GOD I said I was sorry what else you expect from me " he said getting loud

I didn't say anything else

"Now like I was saying. There are some guys after me. They are killing anybody close to me or who I talk to. I don't know what the fuck they are trying to prove but somehow they brought Layla into the situation" he said

"What " I said in disbelief

"I know but I need for you to work with me , I know we not cool and all but I need for you to keep Layla safe " he said

"And how you expect me to do that" I said with a eyebrows raise

"Y'all can stay at my other condo" he said confidently

"Uhhhh Did you not forget I still have a job that pays half of the bills at home."

"I can work that out " he said like he had it all figure out

"What about school" I asked

"You can take online classes they do offer those" he said

"Uhhhh fine but when do we leave" I said giving up

"As soon as possible better yet let's go right now" he said getting up off of me

"But I still have to help cook "I said

"Ma will be alright" he said

We was walking to the door when Monte and Tahj stopped us.
