Para akong pinagpawisan ng malamig sa narinig ko. Nakita ko yun. Nakita ko kung paano pukulin ng baseball bat si Kurt na dahilan ng pagkahulog niya sa pool.

Napatikhim si Daddy Luke, Kurt's dad and seemed to be fixing his composure. "How severe his head injury is?"

"I can't answer that for now, sir. Minomonitor ko pa ang condition ng pasyente. Thus, I may be sound cruel to tell you just to wait and see. But in general terms, the longer the patient remains in coma, the less likely he is to recover completely. And he's in his 4th day being in coma so far."

"How long do patients having head injury usually recover? Kailangan ba ng medications or such para lang gumaling siya agad? If there is, gusto kong gawin niyo sa anak ko yun!"

"To be honest with you Madam, there are no currently medicines known that will shorten the duration of coma. Recovery is measured in weeks, months or even years. Masasagot ko lang ho ang mga katanungan niyo once na magising ang pasyente. For now, he's under my monitor."

"Oh God, son. Please wake up..."

Tears flowed to my cheeks automatically after hearing Kurt's condition. Oh God, please... Sana gumising siya as soon as possible...

K-Kaya pala ayaw nilang sabihin sa akin kung ano ang condition ni Kurt dahil severe pala ang head injury niya.

After talking to the doctor, Kurt's parents left for awhile. Ipapakita raw kasi sa kanila ang X-ray result ni Kurt. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ayaw i-explain sa akin ng doctor kung anong condition na ni Kurt. Malamang, sinabihan na siya nila Alex. Baka kasi ma-i-stress ako. Ni hindi nga inexplain ng maayos sa akin kung ano ba talaga ang kalagayan ni Kurt eh! All I know is he's in coma. Period. Well, I kind of understand them. They just don't want me to get stressed again after what happened to us.

Mom touched my cheek gently. "Baby girl, let's go home. Get some sleep muna?"

I smiled weakly to her. "Mom, okay lang talaga po ako dito. Nakakatulog naman po ako ng maayos. I'm with Misty for the whole night." Tumingin ako kay Misty na ngayon ay nasa tabi ni Kurt.

"Okay," she led me to the cornered sofa and we sat on there. "Napag-usapan namin ni Elizabeth ang tungkol sa case ni Kurt. I told her na ipakulong ang gumawa nito kay Kurt. But she told us that it's no use. Gangster daw kasi ang fiancée' mo and it's all about underground society. Ang away gangsters ay mananatiling away gangsters lang. Tanggap niya na raw ito and expected na rin..." She faced her palm in frustration. "-Parang naulit lang kay Kurt yung nangyari sa Kuya mo way back."

"Mom, that's how gangster's life goes. Natanggap ko na rin naman noon pa man na gangster si Kurt eh."

"Pero, takaw-gulo naman. Pati ikaw napapahamak, Crystal Gail."

I sighed helplessly. "Mom, are we going to argue about this?"

She looked to me with her worried expression. "I'm just worried, okay? Hanggang kailan kayo lalapitan ng disgrasya? Buntis ka anak."

"Don't worry Mom, kapag nagising na si Kurt, we'll follow you in Korea. Dun na muna kami mag-i-stay ni Kurt."

She fainted a smile, "Sana naisip mo yan bago pa mangyari ito."

4:30PM na. 2 hours na ang nakalipas nang iwanan kami nila Mom at ng parents ni Kurt dito. Natutulog si Misty ngayon kaya tahimik lang ako na pinagmamasdan si Kurt. Ang peaceful ng mukha niya habang natutulog. Hindi mo mahahalata na isa siyang gangster. Akalain mo, kung sino pa yung kinamumuhian ko noon, siya pa ang kasama ko ngayon.
