Chapter #10

Alli's POV

Lillie and I were going to the beach today, I hoped that we would see Vincent.

"Alli, will you get that bag please?" my dad asked while carrying the BBQ into the car.

I picked up the bag and climbed in the car with it.

I smiled, the wind rushing through my long sun kissed hair.

Once we met up with Lillie's family, the two of us headed down the line of shops toward the ice cream place. Since Lillie was more shy out of the two of us, I had to gather some courage and walk up to Vincent smiling.

"you came back!" he exclaimed, obviously happy.

"ya, this is my friend Lillie," I said motioning to the girl standing slightly behind me.

He waved "hi," he said.

"how can I help you?" he asked me, watching my every move.

"We actually came to see if you wanted to come swimming with is, maybe go pier jumping?" I asked quickly, afraid of his answer.

"right now?" he asked and I nodded " not in the cold water," he said.

My heart sunk "Of course I'll come," he said smiling and walking around the counter placing his hand on my arm.

"I would love to come swim with you."

I smiled at Lillie and Vincent said some things in Italian to an older looking man. The man nodded his head and said "Go have fun,"

As we walked along the beach, back to our picnic table, Vincent walked close to me, and every time our hands brushed I felt a tingly go up my arm.

When we got to our table, luckily my parents weren't there, or they would have teased me, I took of my clothes as did Lillie, and we ran off to the pier.

When we got to the end, I looked at Vincent as he took his shirt of and threw it on the ground, and saw a toned six pack. His skin was a sort of olive colour, and I couldn't help but stare. I felt his hand on my chin, directing my eyes back to his dark ones, and I blushed a deep red, I could hear Lillie giggling behind me.

"come," he said.

With me in the middle, the three of us climbed atop the wooden railing and counted to three.

At the last moment Vincent grabbed my hand and we jumped together into the water.

When I hit the cold surface. I felt the water surround me, and I opened my eyes to see darkness below me and a strange light above me. Beside me was Vincent, his dark hair floating about him. I felt his warm hands grip mine and we rose together.

When we broke the surface I gasped for breath and laughed, that was really fun!

I looked around but couldn't see Lillie, looking up, I saw her still sitting on the rail waving and smiling at us.

Vincent held onto my waist with both his hands, but soon he had wrapped his strong arms around me, and we were very close.

Our noses almost touching, he leaned in and his lips brushed against mine, he backed up a little, his eyes asking me a question.

I answered by leaning in again, and putting my hands on his chest, and slowly moving them onto his shoulders as our lips gently met again. This time his tongue licked at my lips and I opened them for him.

I tasted the salt on him, and lightly bit his bottom lip, as he removed one arm from around my waist to push my hair back.

He backed away, but still held onto me, as Lillie told us kids were watching. I looked up and noticed a bunch of people standing above us, and then they started clapping and I blushed a deep red. Looking back at Vincent I noticed he was looking at me and smiling. I smiled too and we swam to the ladder and climbed back up it to jump again.

By the time our parents called us for dinner, we had jumped off the pier a bunch of times, but Vincent and I hadn't kissed again. He did, however hold my hand as we walked back to the ice cream place and said goodbye.

I was about to walk away, when he grabbed my hand and spun me back to him. I was pressed up against his chest, and he bent down to kiss me tenderly once more on the lips, his soft warm ones, against mine sent tingled down my spine. After a moment he let go, and we exchanged phone numbers. Smiling and waving once more, I walked away with Lillie, who couldn't help but ask a million questions.
