Alden was preparing for his 3rd album photoshoot. He was already doing a series of new tvc's since Monday and he was indeed tired. He hasn't even seen Maine since she came back from her out of town tours because their schedules won't really meet.
"Miss na kita." Alden blurted when they were using FaceTime and she was waiting for a nasty remark after that. Maine remained clueless, for she thinks Alden was joking when he said he misses her.
"Ahh.. Bakit? Teka pick up line ba to? Hahahaha." She laughed. With Alden, she still finds it difficult to distinguish what is reel from real. She doesn't want to assume much. After all they've only just met half a year ago. She was still unsure if something really changed in their relationship. Everyone insist there is, but on her part she was still unsure. Or maybe, in denial was the right word.
"Di to pick-up line, I miss you. Miss na kita." He flashed a genuine smile which made her heart flutter. How this man could still look adorable without even trying? She hides her grin behind the pillow and answered him. "Hala siya, hindi ako na-orient."
"Magkikita ba tayo ngayon?" He asked.
"May photoshoot ka pa. May rehearsals ako sa prod number ko sa EB. We both have things to do."
"How about tomorrow then?" He doesn't know why he is acting like a baby missing his Mom's embrace. He really felt like that.
"May taping ako sa PITP ng morning bukas eh, tapos sa hapon naman may commercial shoot."
"But it's a Sunday. Di ba wala kang trabaho pag Linggo?"
"Na-reschedule kasi yun from Monday kasi may out of town tour ako with Kuya Jose. Ikaw ba wala kang gagawin bukas?"
"Meron. SPS tapos isang mall tour sa SM Marilao. I thought I could drop by sa inyo para makita ka." Malungkot na sabi ni Alden.
"Faulkerson wag kang sumimangot papangit ka nyan sige. Don't worry, we'll see each other naman sa Thursday!"
"Ang tagal pa nun eh!" Alden grunted. Para syang batang nagtatantrums. Maine badly wants to pinch his nose for being such a kid.
Naabutan pa ni Nate ang pagtatantrums ni Alden at tinignan kung sinong kausap niya. He waved at the phone and greeted Maine. "Hi Meng! Miss na kita ha."
"Hi Nate! Miss you too. Kausapin mo nga yan, parang bata eh."
"Namimiss ka lang. Sorry to interrupt you guys pero pinapabalik ka na dun Alden. Ako nalang muna kakausap sa GF-F mo."
"Alright. Balik muna ko dun. Wag mo muna ibababa ha?" Alden handed the phone to Nate.
"Ang clingy nyong mag-BFF ha!" Asar ni Nate.
"Hahaha di naman. Uhm, san nga ba kayo nagsho-shoot ngayon?"
"Around Bulacan lang. Puntahan mo naman si Tisoy dito! Sobrang miss ka na nyan. Lagi kang kinukwento samin."
"Actually, I have an idea. Pero, tulungan mo ko ha?"
After ayusan si Alden he went back to find Nate na naglalaro nalang ngayon sa cellphone niya.
"Hey, where's Maine?"
"Her Ate called kaya she needed to hang up. Tawag ka nalang daw after ng shoot mo." Alden frowned.
"Wag ka ng malungkot dyan! Some things are worth the wait. Ngumiti ka dun at ayusin yung shoot ha! Yung suot mo pang-kasal pero yung mukha mo pang sakal. Balik na dun para magstart na tayo."
Nagstart na ang photoshoot and Alden remained professional. He smiles but it didn't reach his eyes. After some shots, the photographer called break. He went and talk to Nate.
"Anong nangyari dyan kay Alden? His shots were good. But something is missing. Tignan mo oh."
"Wait ka lang ngingiti na yan mamaya. Dadating na yung iniintay niya." He mumbled something to the photographer and he smiled too. He felt his phone vibrated and received a text from 'his' visitor telling him she has arrived.
"Alden! Isa pa ulit. Now, sit on that bench." Alden was puzzled but followed the photographer's instruction. "Nate tawagin mo na yung model!"
"Model?" Mas lalong naguluhan si Alden but when he saw who the 'model' was, a smile slowly formed on his face.
"Start na po tayo?" Maine said cheerfully and sat beside Alden. "Surprise!"
"Grabe siya! Hindi ako na-orient ha. I thought you have something to do?"
"Priorities, Faulkerson. Priorities."
