You fight and leave with the kids - Ashton
Y/D/N = your daughter's name

Ashton:
It had been a stressful week with Ashton being away on a promotion tour, leaving you home alone with your 3 month old, and very fussy, baby. Her loud cry screeched through the house, waking you from your short nap and you rushed into her nursery, bringing her quickly into your arms and bouncing slightly in hopes of calming her cries. At that exact moment your phone rang in your pocket, and you juggled with the baby to answer and lift it to your ear. "Hello" you greeted in a strained voice, "Y/N" you heard Ashton's voice greet you excitedly and you sighed, "what Ashton" you snapped, "I don't really have time for this, YOUR daughter is crying, like she has been for 3 days and I'm the only one here to look after her" you concluded harshly.

(Damn boo calm down lol)

"I'm sorry love, I'll be home sooner than you think," Ashton mumbled through the phone. "Yep," you replied shortly. "You know I really didn't have a choice, you know I tried to get out of it" Ashton said in a slightly harder tone than before, obviously becoming hurt by your lack of response. "Fine, I have to go now Ashton, bye" you finished hanging up the phone.
A little while later, having just got her loud cry's to quiet a little, your phone rung again, making her cries strengthen once more. Frustrated, you answered the phone, "what Ashton!" you said harshly in way of greeting. "Ahhhh Y/N, it's mum" you heard your mums soft voice greet. "Oh hi mum sorry, just a little stressed right now" you explained. "I know and I hate to do this to you at this time but I have some bad news, ....your grandmother passed away last night," your mum said gently. Silence fell as you sucked in a breath, not quite comprehending the news. When you could finally speak again you said, "I'll get the next flight home." "No Y/N, Y/D/N is only young still, I don't expect you to do that, I just wanted you to know," your mum tried to reason with you. "When's the funeral?" you asked, ignoring her.

"Two days" she sighed, "I'll be there" you insisted, hanging up the phone and immediately started packing for you and Y/D/N, still rocking her gently. When she finally calmed again, you set her down and continued throwing things into a duffle bag with one hand, while on the phone to the airport with the other. You were in such a rush getting things organised and lost in old memories that you didn't even think of contacting Ashton, he wasn't expected home for another day or two so it wasn't at the top of your priorities, at the back of your mind you told yourself you would tell him when he next called. Finally ready, you headed to the airport and booked into your flight sitting in the waiting room with a wrapped up and still fussy baby. You ran a hand through your messy hair, you were exhausted but determined to be with your family.

The flight was long and painful and when you arrived you practically fell into your mums arms and handed over her granddaughter. It wasn't until you got to your family home and had your daughter settled, did you finally turn on your phone. As soon as you did it was buzzing with missed calls and messages, all from Ashton. You immediately checked your voicemail, "Y/N I'm so sorry, I left you two to go on tour, please come back" his stressed voice said, "Baby please answer the phone, we can fix this, just come back" "Y/N please I can't live without you and Y/D/N, please come home."

After listening to only 3 of the near 20 messages, you felt overcome with guilt and were quick to dial Ashton's number. "Hello" came his sullen greeting, his voice making it obvious that he had been crying. "Hi Ashton" you said hesitantly. "Y/N!" he exclaimed, obviously not having checked the caller ID. "Yes, it's me" you said guiltily. "Oh my god Y/N, please come home I'm so sorry. The boys covered for me so I could come home early for you and when I got here, you and Y/D/N were gone and your bags and clothes and I am so sorry. Just please baby, don't leave me, come home." Ashton rambled quickly. "Ashton, calm down, I haven't left you and I would never take Y/D/N from you." "Then where are you?" he asked disbelieving. "I'm at home Ashton, my mum called to let me know my grandmother died, so I got on the next flight out, I was so caught up in everything I forgot to call you and I didn't think you would be home so quickly," you explained guiltily.

You heard him breathe a sigh of relief on the other side of the phone, "I'll be there as soon as I can" Ashton promised and before you could protest he had hung up.
True to his word, the next day, before the funeral, Ashton arrived, looking exhausted but quickly wrapped his arms around you, kissing you quickly before taking his daughter into his arms and kissing her soft cheek as well, "I never want to even think I have lost my girls again" he whispered, "I love you." "You won't" you insisted "I love you too." Any anger you had towards Ashton was forgotten as he stood beside you, with your daughter, supporting you throughout the funeral with a strong arm around your waist
