*set just after Into Darkness*

It was all over the news. The U.S.S. Enterprise had been crashing to Earth, but it saved itself. That meant your boyfriend, Jim Kirk, was back for a little while. You watched as the crew walked off, anxious to see Jim.

But Jim never came. You started to get more and more worried, he wasn't here. "Are you looking for Jim Kirk?" A man asked from behind you. Startled, you turn around to see a Vulcan man standing there.

"Yeah. How did you know?" You ask, cautiously backing away.

"I'm afraid I have some bad news. The captain was poisoned by radiation. He died." The Vulcan said, contempt on his face. You froze, you felt as though you needed to cry, but no tears came.

"What?" You manage to stutter, feeling your knees go week. The Vulcan stepped forward to keep you from falling.

"Our chief medical officer, Doctor McCoy, managed to bring him back. He is in critical condition and in a coma, but there is a great chance of him making a full recovery." He said, holding you steady. This time, you actually sunk to the ground, the Vulcan still holding you up. "I'm Spock. I'm the first officer."

You couldn't say anything. There was a chance he could be okay, but that wasn't likely. "Help." You mutter, tears starting to stream down your face.

"Okay. Okay. I'll help." Spock muttered, helping you stand back up. He walked you over to a bench and helped you sit. You cried into his shoulder, sobs wracking through your body.

"Thank you." You mumble, the sobs slowly stopping.

"Do you feel alright?" Spock asked.

"Not really, but I feel okay. Ish." You answer, a little confused.

"The baby, is it alright?" Spock asked you again. You nearly choked on your own spit.

"Wait, what?" You ask in disbelief.

"You're pregnant aren't you?" He asked, suddenly aware of his weird actions.

"Yes, but-"

"You're worried that Kirk will die and the baby will grow up without a father."

"Yeah." You mumble, looking down at your hands and your stomach. It wasn't like the pregnancy wasn't noticeable, you had a bump. Already five months, you found out a month after Jim left. You knew the instant he saw you he would know, but he needed to know.

"Sorry if my assumption offended you." Spock apologized, holding your hands.

"No problem Spock. Can I see Jim?" You ask, leaning further back into the bench away from him.

"Yes. He is in a coma state, but yes." Spock answered, helping you stand up. The two of you walked to a medical center only for you to be greeted by McCoy.

"Y/N!" He exclaimed, hugging you. "Are you pregnant?"

"Yes, Leo, I'm pregnant." You say, starting to tear up again.

"And Jim's the father, isn't he." Leonard whispered. You nod. "He'll be out for a long time, but hopefully he wakes up."

Jim was very pale and weak looking. You slowly sat down by his bed. You held his hand and put it by your stomach. "Love you Jim." You whisper to him, waiting for him to wake up.

*eleven days later.*

You were now five and a half months pregnant. Jim had just woken up.

"Jim!" You yelled when you first saw him.

"Y/N?!" He yelled, surprise and happiness on his face.

"Jim." You mumble, kissing him quickly.

"Y/N! Are you............?" Jim asked, looking at your stomach. You nod and kiss him again.

His jaw dropped, eyes shocked. He stared at your stomach, amazed. You picked up his hand and put it on your stomach so he could feel the baby kick. No matter what, Jim's face was shocked. Tears slowly streamed down his face.

"Oh Jim." You mutter, smiling. You kissed his cheek and smiled at him.

"Woah." Jim mumbled, still crying.

"Sorry to make you cry when you just woke up." You say.

"Don't be. It's amazing." He muttered, keeping his hand on your stomach. His reaction was much better than you thought.
