When Samantha turned around, Katherine was already behind her. She held her hand tightly, as if afraid of losing her in the turmoil that she feels will soon begin, and then her phone rang. It was Detective Bailey, who was talking fast and out of breath, breathing heavily, clearly in a hurry.
Kirby wasn't in the FBI anymore?!
Carpenter quickly ran to the entrance and exit at the same time and began to pull the bars, but it was locked with a thick chain. When the movie turned on on the screen, Macher squeezed her lover's hand in her hand and dragged her from the entrance/exit towards the stage, trying to figure out where to run to find Tara and Chad.
— Over there! — The former redhead shouted and, running a little more, continuing to hold her girlfriend's hand in her own, opened the doors, bumping right into the people she wanted to find.
— Back, Ghostface is here! — The younger Carpenter screamed, and behind her, her boyfriend quickly slammed the door.
All four of them rushed back closer to the stage and began to look around for where to run next. Noticing an emergency exit and a staircase that did not inspire confidence, the four wanted to go there, but then another Ghostface jumped off the stage. He brandished the knife, causing Tara to fall to the floor, avoiding another injury, Sam dropped her knife and ran to her injured sister.
The former redhead and Mindy's brother teamed up, with the former having her balisong and the latter having his muscles, his Hobbs and Shaw, and his fists, and together they fought back against Ghostface. The girl was able to cling to the maniac's hand, the one in which he was holding a knife, and the guy immediately struck a strong blow to the Ghost right in the stomach, then grabbed his body and knocked him to the floor.
Three girls ran onto the stage and ran behind it, and Meeks-Martin grabbed the camera and dropped it on the masked man's head, and after picking up the camera again, he caught up with his fleeing friends in a few long strides.
All four of them rushed into some kind of narrow, long corridor, in which a maximum of two people could squeeze through, and they had to run after each other. Chad pushed Roman's daughter in front of him and ran last, and threw the camera at the Ghostface, who recovered from the blows and began to catch up with his victims, but was slowed down again.
When the whole company ran out of the corridor into the room, something like a buffet, and repelled the attack of the Ghost that pursued them, despite the resistance.
When Tara's boyfriend grabbed an old candy machine to bring it down on the fallen masked man, Sidney's niece wanted to rush forward, but she didn't make it in time and the knife plunged into the guy's stomach.
While the elder Carpenter was busy keeping her younger sister from desperately running straight towards two Ghostfaces who were taking turns plunging large knives into their mutual friend's body, a third masked man, unnoticed by absolutely no one, dragged away a dark-haired girl standing behind the two sisters.
Katherine landed on the floor with a thud as the maniac in the Halloween costume threw her away from him like a rag doll. She pushed herself up on her hands, grimacing as pain shot into her ribs. Landing on the concrete floor sideways was too painful.
Macher looked around, noticing that she had been dragged into a rather large room adjacent to the buffet. Maybe it was previously some kind of storage or technical room, because there are not enough things left here.
The girl stood up, cautiously following the Ghost with her eyes, having once again learned the lesson the hard way that the enemy should not be underestimated. Even if she didn't underestimate him, look where she is now.
— The mask is a little old, don't you think? — The brunette asked, starting to move away from the masked man, when he also began to move towards her, threateningly waving a bloody knife in front of him.
— Your uncle's mask. — Said the Ghostface. — Of course, I don't like him very much, but this mask should be given to you from me and only from me. I like your mother better, she reminds me of my own mom.
— Great, and how does my dearest mother resemble your own? Your mother was also a cold bitch who didn't love her own child, am I right? I can smell mommy issues on you. It's not cool, trust me, I know. — Leslie's daughter backed away, not taking her eyes off the killer in front of her, looking straight into the slots in the eye mask, and bumping into the door with her back, she stealthily pulled the handle, but the door did not open.
The masked man rushed towards Stu's niece, and she, in turn, ran away from him, already holding a balisong ready, which she somehow miraculously did not drop when she was grabbed from the buffet and thrown into another room.
— So you're kind of my personal Ghostface? Last time, I had two people holding a personal grudge against me, Amber and Leslie. How did I annoy you? — Katherine asked in a loud voice, ending on a shriek, as she pushed the table at the Halloween-costumed maniac who had caught up with her. — All year I was just a white and fluffy goody!
Macher flinched as the knife sank into the half-rotted wooden surface of the table, where her hand had been a second ago. Damn, this guy wasn't going to mess with her, no matter how hard she tried to make a joke of it.
The dark-haired girl turned her head sharply when she heard Tara's muffled scream through the door. The girl screamed herself when the knife pierced her shoulder, and she dropped her balisong from her wounded hand into her other hand, plunging it into the Ghost's thigh and running away from him. She looked at the bleeding wound in her shoulder, realizing that she now had only one fully functioning arm, and she had to make a choice: should she press the wound to stop the bleeding, or should she keep the knife ready?
Samantha's lover took the balisong more comfortably in her palm and defensively put her hand with the blade in it in front of her, making her choice.
— Stop talking to her nonsense and finally stick a knife in her throat and let her blood gush out! — Stu shouted, appearing at the side of his niece, who flinched at the loud sound of his voice right next to her ear, but did not take her eyes off the killer in a suit in front of her.
— Her? — The former redhead asked in a whisper, glancing at Macher for just a second, who straightened up and just stared at her expressively.
— You're seeing your uncle, aren't you? Leslie told me. I read it in Gale's book, too. — The Ghostface said in an altered voice, taking a step towards Roman's daughter.
— Did you know my mother?
— Of course. — Katherine could tell that the Ghost was grinning at her. — I met her when I went to look for my mother. The woman, my mother, left me as a newborn to my father, they had such an arrangement. And so, after all these years, I found my mom, she turned out to be a greedy, selfish, crazy creature who, surprise me, had two more children. Can you guess who it was? — The maniac grabbed the mask from the front and took it off himself and spread his arms to the sides, as if inviting Macher into an embrace. — Finally, we have officially met as a family, older sister.
The brunette shook her head, feeling her hands start to shake, one of which was miraculously still holding the balisong. Her voice faltered at the sight of a familiar face.
— Anika…
