Katherine smiled and reached out to Samantha again, putting her hands on her cheeks, but the door to their room creaked open and Quinn appeared on the threshold. She squeaked when she saw them in a certain position, ready for another kiss.
— I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, but you two need to come to the living room right now. — Bailey said and left, leaving the door open.
Murphy looked away from Carpenter's beautiful brown eyes and, taking her hands from her cheeks with a pained sigh, walked in the same direction Quinn had managed to escape. Sam was right behind her.
— Seriously, this girl is blocking sex for both of the Carpenter sisters. — She muttered to herself.
The brunette stopped in her tracks when the slightly muffled words from the TV reached her ears and she blindly reached out to grab her girlfriend's hand for her own grounding. The report told about two guys whose tortured bodies were found in their own apartment.
— Do you remember those police cars we saw? — Obviously, they were going straight there. — Roman's daughter whispered to Carpenter, pointing her finger at the TV screen, which showed the crime scene, but not the apartment itself, but rather the building as a whole.
Katherine looked around at everyone present, focusing special attention on the tense Tara, frozen in one hunched position. She knows and remembers how her former best friend desperately tried to pretend that what happened last year just didn't exist, but apparently their past always catches up with them.
When the names of the dead guys were mentioned, Murphy looked at Mindy and Anika for confirmation, and they both nodded in unison, confirming that she remembered correctly and that Jason and Greg were their acquaintances.
After the reporter mentioned the fact that several Ghostface costumes were found at the crime scene, Leslie's daughter frowned even more and her hand, which was not intertwined with Samantha's, automatically reached into her jeans pocket, where she usually kept one of her folding knives.
Sam seemed to have the same thoughts, because she looked into the eyes of two of her favorite brunettes and ordered them to pack their things, and she went to get a knife in the kitchen with a determined look.
Tara, of course, was outraged by this, she didn't want to just leave her new life in New York because of an incident that probably had nothing to do with her and her friends, because the city was big and it was definitely just a coincidence. Yes, it's just a coincidence.
And while the Carpenter sisters were sorting things out again, as they had often done over the past year, Sidney's niece was carefully examining the remaining kitchen knives, pulling them out and sticking them back in when she didn't like them. Still, over the course of a year, she had already become attached to the knives she found in her brother Vince's former car.
The brunette took a knife out of her pocket and, hitting the hook, pulled out a small blade and she imperceptibly looked at Samantha with her blue eyes, as if confirming to herself that she was still sure that they all needed to leave immediately as far away from New York as possible.
Katherine touched the fabric of her shirt in the area of her stomach, where a phantom pain appeared, as if Amber had stuck a knife there again. It's not like she could do it from the grave, where she's been rotting for a year and will continue to rot.
Roman's daughter echoed Mindy and Chad, who agreed with Sam that the discovery of Ghostface costumes at the scene of Greg and Jason's murders was not a coincidence.
And while Quinn was calling her father, a policeman, Murphy, feeling a slight vibration and hearing the ringtone, reached into her back pocket and took out her phone, seeing that someone was calling her. An unknown number.
