Katherine looked at the screen of her phone, which lit up ten seconds after she deleted Sydney's contact and set the phone aside.

Oliver had just returned, and with a push of her hand, she made the phone slide across the bar counter and into the man's hands. He picked up her phone and stared at the message from Mindy, sent to his niece twenty seconds ago.

On the other side of the girl, Stu was sitting on a bar stool, looking at her with pride, carefully examining the new hard gleam in her eyes.

«After you left, Gale came over. She has some leads on the first two victims, and we're going there with her. If you don't want to be left out, come join us. Here's the address». — Roman's younger brother read out loud and looked at Macher, ready to go if she wanted to or stay in the bar if she didn't.

— Let's go. We need to stay informed, after all. I'll deal with my drama with Samantha later. — The brunette said as she pulled out her wallet, ready to pay her share of the bill, at least, as she knew her uncle wouldn't allow her to pay the entire bill. However, she managed to secure the right to pay for her own portion of the alcohol. — We'll have to take a taxi, as we've already consumed alcohol.

— I've already taken care of that. I asked a friend to come and take my car to your house. If I need a car, I can't afford not to have access to it. I've already ordered a taxi, and the taxi driver will be here in a minute.

— Cool.

The two of them left the bar after they had completely closed their account and waited for a taxi. They got into the car as soon as it pulled up and went to the address indicated in Mindy's message.

— «O, by the way, Kirby came to visit us for a while after you left and after Gale arrived. She's coming with us to the place that Gale found». — Chad had texted Leslie's daughter, apparently having learned from his twin that she had contacted their friend and that she was on her way with her uncle.

— Kirby? She's the one from the FBI, right? — Milton asked in a whisper, which wasn't a whisper at all, but it was to his drunken mind. He turned his head towards the former redhead, who was in a slightly better state, even though they had both had the same amount of alcohol. Maybe it was because she had eaten something despite the attack, while he hadn't. — You were her neighbor in 2011, right? You told me. — Stu's niece lightly tapped Oliver on the chest, pointing at the taxi driver, and indeed whispered to him that he wasn't actually whispering, but speaking in a normal voice.

— Yes, that's how Kirby and I met. I even visited her house a couple of times. She let me in just out of politeness. But after Jill and all the shit in 2011, Leslie moved, and Kirby left Woodsboro, so we haven't seen each other until recently.

«When you arrive at the location, Tara will meet you and guide you to the rest of us. It's just a short walk to the location Gale discovered. Sam also volunteered, but Tara pushed her to the back burner». — Katherine read in her mind the last message that Meeks-Martin's brother had sent her before she put her phone back in her pocket, because the taxi had stopped, but they weren't there yet, they were just at a traffic light.  — «O, right, Detective Riley has something to tell you».

— DON'T FALL IN LOVE, SWEETHEART! — Oliver suddenly shouted, singing along with the song that the taxi driver had played at some point. — DON'T LOVE, PLEASE! PUSH HIM AWAY WITH FORCE, OR HE WILL MERCILESSLY THAMPLE AND THROW AWAY YOUR SCARLET HEART.

His niece stared at him with wide eyes, not expecting him to shout like that, and then slid down in her seat, pressing her hand over her eyes as the passengers in the nearby car at the traffic light gave them a strange look.
