— Guys. — Tara called out to everyone, sandwiched between Chad and some other unknown girl in a witch costume. She points forward when, after a few seconds of darkness, a man in a Ghostface costume appeared in front of them, in the center of the carriage.
— I almost peed my pants. — Mindy's brother confessed in a whisper, but despite his fear, he stood in front of the younger Carpenter, blocking access to her with his tall and muscular figure.
Katherine sighed, forcefully unclasped her fingers from the handrail and lightly pressed on Sam's hard stomach, pushing her back a little, as if trying to hide her behind herself, even though she was shorter than her lover.
When this "Ghost" walked towards them, Macher tensed her whole body, still feeling stressed from the flashing light, but at the moment the desire to protect her friends prevailed in her body. If this masquerader does something, she will immediately stick her balisong into his mask, into the eye slot.
But, fortunately for this man, he simply walked past the group and thereby saved himself from the fate of experiencing the penetration of a foreign body into his head.
— Guys, Detective Bailey texted me. Another body was found. — Samantha's lover said after she heard her phone ring and read the message she received. — Our neighbor was killed, who has a door next to ours, it's been some time since his murder. His relatives came to him and found his corpse. The detective thinks this is another attempt by the Ghostface to frame me the way he tried to frame Sammy. Bailey writes that our neighbor was killed on the same day that my uncle's neighbor was killed. They found a piece of my hair in his hand, stained with his blood. Ugh. I think I understand about what time he was killed. When you were all gone and I was home alone. By the way, a Charlie Walker mask was found on his corpse, for your information.
— Really, ugh. Is your hair in the dead man's hand? Ghostface would have written "Katherine Macher killed him" in blood on the corpse, for good measure. — Tara said what Mindy would say if she were with them right now.
— We still have a camera in the peephole that would show that you were inside our apartment when our neighbor was killed. So there's no way to connect you to it. You were in the apartment during the minutes that passed between the bastard's arrival at our door and my return from the store.
— Well, not exactly. I turned off the camera after the Dickface arrived. I-I do not know what I was thinking, clearly, I just panicked and did some nonsense. So, unlike the murder of Oliver's neighbor, for which I have an alibi, I don't have an alibi for the murder of our neighbor. The minutes that passed between your leaving and your arrival were long enough for me to slice up our neighbor, but not long enough for me to drive to Oliver's house and stab his neighbor.
Finally, after a while, the entire group, with the exception of Mindy, Ethan, and Oliver, found themselves at the designated spot. Kirby was waiting for them at the entrance to this gloomy theater, and she embraced each of them with a smile, even Danny, who was sent away a minute later. No one believed him.
Although, according to the brunette, Danny was too minor a character for him to end up being a murderer, and she is sure that Mindy would have agreed with her if she had been there. Speaking of which.
When Kirby started telling everyone about the mechanism of their plan, Oliver's niece raised her hand as if she were at school and wanted to ask a question.
— So, dear FBI Agent, you and Detective Bailey came up with this plan, right? We just what? Shall we try to lock the bastard between the doors? Did I get it right? — Seeing that everyone else seemed to like the plan and that it seemed reliable, the girl decided not to argue and just go with the flow.
Leslie's daughter and Kristina's daughter exchanged glances when Reed said that they had only one gun and that she was in full possession of it. Of course, none of them were going to wander around empty-handed, especially the former redhead, who didn't really trust the plan anyway.
When Samantha pulled off her jacket and tried to call Mindy's phone as she wandered around the stage, Katherine was completely fixated on her muscles, barely restraining herself from drooling openly. When she caught her girlfriend's gaze, Billy's daughter grinned and flicked her on the nose.
— I'm sorry, Sammy. Looking at you is another way for me to overcome stress and nervousness. Baby, you're just a walking meaning of the word "sexy."
— You can even touch me instead of just looking at me, not that I mind. — Carpenter said with a grin and stroked her beloved on the back when she immediately snuggled up to her with a relieved sigh.
Macher's gaze caught on the TV and she sat on the edge of the stage, looking at it intently. Stu, who was crouched to her right, made a face, sticking his tongue out at the broken TV. The girl decided that her uncle's action didn't require her to react, so she simply continued examining the object. Her aunt had used this TV to kill her uncle. Yes, that was her family, for better or for worse.
— I'm still trying to figure out why you did what you did, Uncle. You were one of the few who didn't really have a motive. You just did what you thought was fun. And maybe a little bit because you loved Billy. — The dark-haired girl mumbled to the man sitting next to her, knowing that her girlfriend couldn't hear her right now, as she wandered behind her, trying to call Chad's sister.
When the former redhead saw how her beloved froze in place, looking towards the place where there was a stand with her father's costume, she pulled away, knowing what was going on. After all, right now she herself saw her own uncle standing next to his suit, hugging the mannequin by the shoulder and proudly examining the fabric.
— You have to find my mask and get your hands on it. Imagine how cool it would be if you started killing while wearing my costume. That would be so cool! — Stu jumped up and down, clapping his hands like a child, but his niece just shook her head at him and ignored him, walking over to her lover, who had already taken her father's knife. — Or at least find my sister's mask.
— Come on, Kat, we need to go to Tara and Chad. And Kirby. — Sam said to the other girl.
