- God, she did it. - Mindy shook her head, and the two Carpenter sisters giggled, smiling broadly.
- The Fantastic Five really doesn't sound so terrible, as if Chad wanted to, I don't know, let's say, connect the first letters of our names. It would be something like STKMC. Like in Ginny and Georgia, you know? MANG, that's it.
- Yes, the fantastic five is better than the ST-...And what happened next? - The younger Carpenter laughed and agreed with her best friend, even though she couldn't remember the complicated name made up of the first letters of their names.
It was the kind of atmosphere and vibe that one particular brunette needed to get out of the semi-confused state she'd been in since Quinn revealed whose mask had been found at the latest murder scene.
But the smile didn't last long on Sidney's niece's face. It vanished as soon as she approached Anika at her request and heard the news report on the TV.
Of course, the girl didn't like what the host was saying about her beloved Sam, but for the first time in a year, she was actually interested in what people were saying about her. Usually, she didn't care what people thought about her.
But not this time.
Not this time, because the man with the microphone had not only gone after her identity, but also her life, her parents, Stu, and he even briefly touched on Sidney. The extra reminder that all of her family members were either dead, wanted to kill her, or didn't want anything to do with her extinguished any budding spark of joy within her.
Then a photo of Oliver's niece appeared next to the reporter's face, standing on the street in front of the store where she and the Carpenter sisters had been attacked, with Milton standing next to her, looking at each other, and the lights of police cars in the background.
The reporter took the opportunity to share information obtained from the police, revealing that the man who had helped the former Murphy and the Carpenters was none other than the brother of the deceased Roman Bridger, the sixth Ghostface.
The former redhead looked down when she heard her father's name. She shook her head, pushing away thoughts of something specific that she didn't want to think about or remember.
When she heard the doorbell ring, Katherine shook off her daze with a rough movement of her shoulders and went to the door. She looked through the peephole and saw the man she had just been thinking about.
- Oliver? What are you doing here? - Macher opened the door a little, not enough for him to walk through, but enough for a proper conversation.
- Em, your girlfriend texted me that something happened to you and you needed me.
The brunette looked up from where she had been staring at the floor, looked Milton straight in the eyes, and after a second of hesitation, she opened the door wider, pulled the man inside, and immediately hugged him.
It wasn't until about ten seconds later that Oliver's niece realized what she had done and quickly pulled away from her uncle. She wasn't used to showing her weaknesses, her feelings, in front of someone who wasn't part of her inner circle.
- Thank you, anyway.
- You're welcome. I told you I'd be around, and I'll help you and your friends with whatever you need help with.
- I'd like you to stay. I mean, I'll have to ask my friends if they're okay with it, and if they are, just know that I'd like you to be here.
- Let's go and ask. - Oliver walked around the former redhead from the side and walked around the apartment, first taking off his shoes, hearing quiet laughter and loud words coming from where.
