Prescott tore her gaze away from the pale, pain-stricken faces of her unconscious wife and Gale, who grimaced and snapped when she was unceremoniously thrown to the floor. The woman looked at her goddaughter instead. Both Kirsch and Amber were busy telling their villainous plan, so they didn't pay much attention to it. — Gale, having found out where Tatum and I were going, probably theoretically, chained Dewey to the radiator with his own handcuffs and came alone.
Katherine raised her eyebrows, but didn't say anything else. She turned her gaze to Kirsch, who had moved closer to Sam, explaining who she was in his film. Amber smiled maliciously at Carpenter over the man's shoulder, stepped closer to her ex and raised her eyebrows.
— And you're her partner-lover, Katherine Macher, who hid her blood connection to Stu Macher from everyone, whose hallucination she also constantly observes. — Amber smiled broadly and looked at Sidney expectantly, waiting for the aforementioned's reaction to the news that her goddaughter was seeing her very dead psychopathic uncle. — You also wanted to avenge your dear uncle, whom you could never get to know well.
— There is a small fuck in your, of course, brilliant plan. — Murphy quipped and pointed a finger at herself. — I've already been attacked twice.
— Yes, and you've arranged all the times with Sam to give yourself a perfect alibi. That's why you were injured quite easily, relative to Tara.
— Another hole in the plan. Sam was in Madesto.
— And you'll find out the answer to that later. — Freeman reached out and pressed a finger to her lips, hinting that her ex should shut up. Everything will fall into place later.
The brunette froze in place, afraid even to turn to the also frozen Sidney. But it seems that the woman was more focused on Sam and her hallucinations in the form of Billy Loomis than on her goddaughter and Stu Macher. After all, Loomis was her boyfriend, an important part of her life, not Stu.
But Tatum... She looked at her wife's goddaughter with her mouth slightly open, and then her eyes started darting wildly around the kitchen, like a cornered animal, as if Macher could appear at any moment and wrap his arms around her neck in a stranglehold. Katherine could have at least tried to lie to her, saying that she wasn't really seeing her uncle's hallucination, but the lie wouldn't come out of her mouth.
Stu's mocking laughter, which sounded right in her ears, so close that it seemed to be in her head (which was completely true), greatly hindered her attempt to lie.
Murphy winced as the tip of the knife pressed against her neck, while Freeman pointed the gun at Sidney, Gale, and Tatum with her other hand.
— Are you doing all this just because I broke up with you? — The brunette joked, seriously needing to focus attention on someone or something else. She also wished that her childhood friend and godmother would stop looking at her like that, as if they had learned something about her that knocked all the air out of their lungs! — Surprise, Amber, people fall in love, break up, it's not necessary to try to kill your ex in some crazy attempt to achieve something or prove yourself!
— Of course, I had to act outside the plan when you dared to come to my house and break up with me. — Amber grinned, even closed her eyes, remembering how her knife, smoothly and quickly, as if like butter, entered her ex-girlfriend's stomach. Richie grimaced, standing a little apart from the talking girls, still unhappy that his partner had started acting outside of their plan and disrupted the very structure of their film. — I'm not the girl you're cheating on and breaking up with! Your injury in our plan was somewhere between Chad and Mindy, but it turned out even better, didn't it, hon? — The man agreed, although his face remained twisted.
Samantha froze in place, staring at Katherine with her mouth comically open and her eyes wide. A smile slowly began to appear on Carpenter's lips as the gears in her head began to move and everything suddenly fell into place.
The brunette wanted to shout to the brown-haired woman, «Stop grinning like a fool, we're all one step away from death at the hands of our former love interests, and the fact that I broke up with my girlfriend for you, and you broke up with your boyfriend for me, is completely unromantic.»
Okay, maybe a little romantic.
Murphy surreptitiously reached out to Prescott's hand and squeezed her fingers tightly with her own, desperately wishing that this new look with which the older woman was looking at her would disappear. As if the younger girl could jump up right now, tell her godmother that she didn't really have any wounds, pull out a mask of a Ghostface from somewhere, for example, in her pants pocket, and start screaming that she was a Macher and wanted revenge for her uncle.
Katherine shuffled her feet, trying to stay upright rather than slump down to the floor and remain curled up there. She frowned when she heard Amber start talking again, this time about how she met Kirsch and how they found out they had a similar mindset. She wished the two of them would get down to business by now, stop talking all the time. As if anyone cared why the two of them were doing what they were doing.
Sidney reached for the knife lying free on the kitchen counter as soon as she saw that Freeman, who had been poking the tip of her knife into her goddaughter's face, was distracted, but instead of acquiring such a necessary weapon, she was stabbed right in the stomach. Sam, taking advantage of the fact that two Ghostfaces were distracted by Prescott, grabbed Murphy, stunned by her godmother's injury, by the shoulders and pulled her to herself, immediately burying her face in her dark, shorter hair than she remembers.
— Oh, isn't that nice. — Amber cooed, leaving the task of tending to the injured Sidney Richie and walked closer to the two hugging girls. She didn't try to separate them, but just watched with calculating eyes.
— Please tell me that Tara is not here. — The brunette pleaded in a whisper, pulling away from Carpenter a little, who also seemed to come to her senses and sat down on the floor, facing the Ghostfaces. The answer was a guilty look and an uncertain nod of the head. — And Liv, Mindy, and Chad? What's wrong with them? — Now, in response to the brunette's question, the brown-haired woman just shook her head depressingly.
Katherine clenched her teeth, carefully examining Sidney, checking if she was okay. Tatum, who had already regained consciousness, crawled up to her wife (Amber, who was looming over them, let them get away with it, only smiling maliciously) and she allowed her to lean on herself, despite the fact that she herself has a bullet wound in her leg and shoulder.
— That about cover it? — Kirsch asked, frowning at Freeman, who looked pointedly at Murphy and raised her eyebrows.
— You forgot something, baby. Someone.
— Oh, yes, that's right. — Richie smiled predatorily, got up from where he had squatted earlier, and kicked Prescott in the side, taking a step forward. — Sidney, you said that we are the most derivative of all. But no, we have our own twist. We are unique. There's never been anything like this in a Stab movie before. Two killers? Really, it's corny. Alone? It's getting better, but it's still not the same. Three? The best option. — The guy squared his shoulders and spread his arms, smiling proudly. — That's the plot twist. In the version that the whole world will know, the third killer will be, uh, Liv. It's quite unexpected, too, especially considering how she stayed in the background the whole movie, right?
— It would be better if it was Mindy or Chad, but they're both a little... off-limits right now. — Freeman sang with a grin. — That's the answer to your question. — She turned to her ex and winked. — Liv was your third partner and the one who attacked you and Tara, and later you and Sam.
A shadow appeared in the doorway. It was another person wearing a Ghostface costume. They came out from behind the grinning Kirsch and stood proudly next to him.
— I'd like to introduce you to our third partner. — The man chuckled and put his hand on the shoulder of the man standing next to him. — I think you've been hiding long enough, it's time to take off all the masks.
The man in the suit grabbed the edge of the mask and began to slowly lift it, and then with one sharp jerk tore it off and threw it away, apparently completely losing all patience.
Long blond hair was loose, no longer held back by the mask of a Ghostface.
