Q1. Why do you write?

Answer: I write for fun. It's a hobby for me. I've been writing only for two years so I'm still in the newbie/fun part of it. There's a lot of crazy stuff stuck in my mind and I've found a productive way to take it out.

Q2. What book do you wish you could have written?

Answer: Del Amor y Otros Demonios - Of Love and Other Demons by Gabriel García Marquez

Q3. Where do you get your inspiration?

Answer: I get my inspiration from nature and/or music, but if I mix both of them it will be a blast. The greens, reds, yellows and turquoise in the landscape of the tropical paradise I live in inspire me to write poetry. Classical and instrumental music bring memories and experiences and it's a matter of add a little imagination to it.

Q4. What is the hardest part of writing for you?

Answer: Brain switch! Being bilingual has a lot of advantages, but when grammatical and syntax structure in both languages get mixed up when we write is not easy to untangle the situation. A story has to be developed in my mind in either one of the two languages. Translation, even though takes place in my mind sometimes feels wrong or reads funny.

Q5. What writing advice do you have for other aspiring authors?

Answer: Read! Read more! Stick to the classics! Then you can write... Write with the heart! Write creatively and stop to check on grammar and SPG when the story is finished.
