For the next two hours, Selina and I worked on translating recipes, making sure that all the times, measurements, and ingredients were named properly. Sir Leonard left us alone in the meantime to complete his own work.

By the time he came back, Selina and I had gone through nearly half the book, and my notebook was beginning to run out of space.

"Maybe we should call it a day here then?" Selina suggested.

"I'm fine with that," I said. "I need to get some more notebooks anyways. I'm running out of space!"

"Yes, it sure looks like you wrote a lot," Sir Leonard commented, looking through my notebook.

I closed up the library book and put it back in my bag as Selina and I stood up from our chairs.

"It was really nice to meet you today, Miss Selina," I held out my hand to shake hers.

"It was great to meet you too. Oh! And before I forget," she reached into her pockets and pulled out a small notepad and a pen. "This is my address currently, if you need to reach me with a letter. Or you could just hand them to Sir Leonard, we meet each other quite often."

"Thank you," I replied, and waved to her as Sir Leonard and I walked away. "Hope to see you soon!"

She waved back with a cheery smile as we exited, and Sir Leonard asked me, "What did you think of her?"

"She's really nice!" I said. "I like her a lot, she's a very excited and happy person."

Sir Leonard nodded in agreement.

"Selina has had some difficulties in this town in the past, but we went to school together so I helped her acclimate."

"What kind of difficulties?" I asked, curious.

"At first, she wasn't allowed to enter the library since she wasn't a citizen of Audora," Sir Leonard said.

"Wait, but I never showed a pass or proof of residence when I went to the library."

"Children have free entry into the library, but adults need to show proof," he explained.

"I see," I nodded. "So how did you help Selina?"

"I helped her get a residence here, and apply for citizenship. Now she has dual citizenship here, but it wasn't an easy process. I had to vouch for her on my name."

"You must trust her a lot then," I noted.

He nodded.

"I have faith in her. She isn't a bad person. She just wants to be able to explore the world. I can admire that."
