It was any other day, she was invited again to the Wayne Manor, it seems she has often visited the manor often these days. This time Damian had personally sought her out and invited her to the Manor. He had been quite vague on his reasoning. Nevertheless, she was quite happy with the invitation and happily agreed to it.

She loved the warmth of the manor, it was filled with familial love. The Wayne family alongside Alfred's chatter and fondness towards each other made her happy and brought her comfort. She adored those loving and bonding moments, as she never personally experienced those moments herself, despite only watching, it still gives her utmost joy.

She always wanted to personally experience that, since it has been a long time since she had experienced them. 12 years ago? She could barely remember those sweet loving moments. It had been buried and faded away from her memories as things had happened a lot since then. It was inevitable as she was busy dealing with her life to reminisce about those loving moments.

She couldn't help but sometimes yearn for what they have, or at least experience it herself. But she didn't dare to wish as she felt as if she didn't deserve the love. She is broken and she knows her own self well. She doesn't want them to be tainted by her.

She sometimes imagined that she was cracking and crumbling away.

She knew that she is now an angel, a pure being, which she knows is good. But she couldn't help but be reminded of her past life as it will forever be stuck on her mind. She couldn't forget those moments for the rest of her life.

She knew she was immortal, or at least until her next life, if she has one that is. She doesn't have any expectations.

She is content and happy enough with watching those lovely moments as it brought her warmth.

"-Nette, Xīngān(心肝)" A voice broke her out.

She snaps her head to look at him, "Yes?" She just remembered that she was not alone and was in fact, with Damian in his room.

Damian looked at her worried, he knew she spaced out and was thinking of not the best kind of things.

As there was a slight tilt downward in her lips and her eyes glazed.

"Yes?" She answered and their eyes met.

He saw the violent swirls of multiple shades of blue in her eyes, as if it were fighting each other.

"Are you okay?" He questioned and her eyes widened slightly, her mouth slightly agape.

"Uhh, I am? Why are you suddenly asking that?" She looked at him confused while she had a small smile on her lips.

He raised one of his eyebrows in disbelief and crossed his arms, "You aren't, don't deny nor hide it. There was a slight down tilt on your lips and your eyes shows that you are troubled."

Her eyes shook in disbelief that he noticed those small details of hers. She never knew that she did that when she was troubled, normally people wouldn't notice it because she masked it well, in fact nobody had ever seen through her mask.

"You observe too well" She forced a laugh since the air had turned slightly colder.

Damian frowned, as he knew, well enough she was hiding it so that people wouldn't notice and worry over her. It wasn't a good habit keeping your negative emotions bottled up. He had an inkling that she often does it. He doesn't want to let her be.

"Ma chérie" She winced, his tone was serious and the nickname. (A/N: I SEARCHED GOOGLE FOR THIS-)

"It's not good to hide your feelings" He lightly reprimanded her.
