History:
Sarah's Mom doesn't have a name. She appears in to be beautiful and encourages her daughter not to change herself for others and that she just has to wait to mature. When Sarah goes through her changes, she is impressed on how she is looking and tells her she has nothing to worry about.

History:
Abby's name can be an anagram for Baby, and seeing as the story has Eleanor as the main antagonist, it's possible that was a reference to her. Abby is Sarah's closest friend and unlike Sarah, she doesn't care about what others think of her appearance and she thinks Sarah shouldn't either. Sarah tells Abby she would look prettier without her glasses and braids but Abby says she loves those things about herself and she's not gonna change for others. After Sarah becomes more beautiful, she abandons Abby and starts hanging out with the popular girls instead. Abby is a witness when Sarah turns into a robot at the end.

History:
These girls are known as "The Beautifuls." Wether it's Sarah who calls them that or the whole school is unclear. But they are the most popular girls at school and Sarah thinks they're also the prettiest and she wants to be just like them. When Sarah does become beautiful, they invite her to join their group. Lydia is the leader of this group. Sarah soon finds out that being in the group isn't as fun as it seems, they're all rich and she isn't, and they're also very snobby and selfish, they even make fun of Abby, which makes Sarah wonder if this group is right for her. They all freak out when Sarah falls and turns into a robot, they're likely some of the witnesses Larson mentions in the epilogue.

Mason Blair is a boy Sarah likes. When Sarah is her old self and bumps into her, he gets mad at her. But when she is beautiful and bumps into him, he all of a sudden doesn't mind and even asks her out.
