Part 17:

It was through this madness that I would come to the realization that the choices I've made to try to save the love of my life would be near impossible. Trying everything in my power to build his trust and repairing the flaws in myself to show him that I had his best interest. Despite him wanting to have this image of how he wanted me to see him (manipulation) being different from reality. I would continue to show
him love even though my communication struck a nerve for him. Because he didn't want to talk about his problems, rather ignore them.
Playing devils advocate his drug dealer would use my car in return she would give Devin free meth. Like, Nate would point out he would then use that meth sleep with straight men by luring them into his apartment of horrors via social media (Grindr).
Chloe would be quite the mastermind because she would also for enjoyment cause unnecessary drama. The California native would want to find a way of screwing Devin over just as much as Nate would. But for Devin and his on delusions it would mean she could legitimately do no wrong as at the end of the day she provided what he wanted. Primarily a fentanyl junkie operating her illegal business through Lisa lake trailer park. I can only imagine that the community is so proud.
It was a random morning where we were sleeping in and at the time Chloe had my car. After the 3rd attempt at someone knocking on the door out of frustration I would answer. Chloe and April were at the door in also one of the rarest occasions because they never showed up like this, or not since I moved in. They would explain how they were in the neighborhood and thought they would stop by. I would explain why it took so long to answer the door that the door was ringing off the hook all morning. After a roughly 20 minute chat they would leave. Once out the door Devin would look at me and go " hey do you still have the few bucks on cashapp? Run and ask Chloe for a few bucks and go get me a pack of cigarettes please." I obeyed pathetically and walked out the door to find Chloe and April outside looking around like roaches scattering for somewhere to go. I would ask them for a few bucks and immediately April pulls out a $5 bill to which I respond thanks and on my way to karns I went on foot. Just as I turn the corner Chloe stops me from behind and asks me which apartment is Devin's. I point at his mailbox as it's located on s union st, in Middletown but his apartment was in the back. After pointing I would return to my route in order to get back to Devin.
Returning from the store with the cigarettes as I tossed them in his direction. He goes "Ryan we need to talk sit down." Overwhelmed with anxiety I blurt out. Did she wreck my car?!? He responds "god no!" He goes on to tell me how Nate was screwing him over in the biggest way possible. He had given Chloe, Devin's address for a 10 thousand dollar shipment of meth and fentanyl to be delivered. Their arrival and being in the area was to retrieve that package. However, I ignored the knocks on the door to sign for the package we were unaware we were receiving.
This would send Devin into a panic of wanting to immediately get out of the apartment and go somewhere else. I would resist as I felt that it wouldn't do any good because if the police miraculously did their job that they would catch us eventually. Explaining to Devin that this is your apartment and from when they decided to look for you in this situation I'm not far behind. So, leaving this apartment seems counter intuitive. Logic Devin wouldn't understand while I also stated what more do I have to go through with you to prove how much I love you and have the purest intentions. Devin would explain that it wasn't the time as he began cleaning as the only way to make him happy was to obey him and his wishes.
It would be Devin's bright idea to retreat to Doug's for a few nights while being paranoid to stay at his own place. Once again providing the proof that when it comes to Devin and getting into deep shit, he will always want more company involvement. During thin time Roseberry wasn't communicating with Devin and in a strange turn of events he was talking to me.
Once again to prove my point of loyalty I would proceed to talk Roseberry into hanging out with us in order to mend the friendship with Devin. Making plans to hangout at the park in Middletown by the water and smoke a joint. It was there that Devin decided to repay my generosity by trying leave us on the deck by the water to try to sleep with a random dude at the park. Looking at us saying "meet me back at the apartment?"
Just as you would expect argument would start at the park where I would embarrass him in front of that very random stranger. Devin? You think with everything going on that it's the time to be trying to whore yourself out at the park? Meet you at the very apartment you wanted us to not be at ? Roseberry was in the middle of yet another altercation between Devin and I . This level of orchestration he would do on purpose in order to make me look bad as narcissistic assholes like him do.
The three of us would return to his apartment as I would be specific in the fact that I was leaving. I wouldn't acknowledge Devin at all and only communicate with Roseberry. Devin would sit in silence as only Roseberry and I would communicate as I would play music in the background. Which lead to yet another flip of the bipolar switch. Roseberry was a witness to this actually. Devin would get my attention and say softly.

"Please don't go, will you please stay?"
